it's clearly an autistic retard trying to force something on here
William Morales
As usual, an autistic retard reminds me of something good in the world once more
Grayson Rodriguez
>shilling
lol at thinking a label is making comfy loaf threads

Yeah its one autistic teenager. Same guy also tries really hard to shill Hot Snakes and Drive Like Jehu. He likes posting pitchfork scores for some reason.
1. Based Reisbro kept making Hot Snakes threads last year,
2. Around this time I was in a big Archers of Loaf binge and kept making threads about, I noticed it was based Reisbro posting GO LOAF!!! in those threads
This happened for a few months then it stopped because I assume we both have very busy Chad lives
Then I noticed Basedsnakes bro started posting about LOAF this year and I'm like fuuuuck yeah let's go full LOAFmode and here we are today and everyone's having a great time
Carter Wright
What's wrong with shilling good music? I appreciate OP's efforts.
Kevin Morales
I don't know, other than Loaf, Pixies, Pavement, and Built; they're one of the more accessible acts. His voice is kinda annoying and his lyrics are borderline cringe, but other than that.
Justin Bennett
I met a non-dairy creamer Explicitly laid out like a fruitcake With a wet spot Bigger than a great lake Took me to the new church And baptized me with salt She told me, "liquor" I am a new man HOT LOAF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am I the only one who thought the new Hot Snakes album a little underwhelming? I mean it wasn't bad for a comeback album but something felt like it was missing.
>deep gravely voice >speaking directly into camera >extremely knowledgeable and proactive shilling about absolute shit alt-rock 120 minutes/alternative nation/subterranean bands >kids actually bought into his absolute shit taste >fucks up the entire trajectory of underground music >boy bands and britney spears/christina aguilera retake the top 40 and MTV >MTV DIES >MFW
Connor Richardson
Leagues above the regular bullshit that these auts push on a regular basis. Thanks LOAFdaddy

Tru story and another Kid Rock's career was over Album was out for 6 months to a year. No buzz. MTV needed acts for its Spring Break or beach house bikini fashion show. Carson Daily is friends with Kid Rock. Talks to his producers to get him on. MFW Carson Daily broke Kid Rock Fuck Carson Daily and fuck Matt Pinfield.
Chase Diaz
Rick's lyrics haven't been very strong since the second Obits' album. These were his weakest yet. Great music though.
Isaiah Nelson
Carson Daly really had shit taste
He was a big Papa Roach fan too
And here I am, as a dumb kid, just lapping it all up
Luis Jackson
Why are Dinosaur Jr so popular? The vocalist fucking sucks.
AGREED. They had some early solid singles and the first album was good, but they fell off fast. Very boring rhythm section.
David Sanders
lcd soundsystem - north american scum

I keep having these dreams where my life is a sitcom and for some reason, I'm back as a teenager. My high school's principal is Stephen Malkmus. I don't know what it means but holy shit my dreams are off the charts.
Oliver White
Never got into the 00s indie dance shit, other than Les Savy Fav, and they learn much more into indie rock. Don't know if they'd be considered or not.
Tyler Scott
Les Savy Fav was dance punk for a little bit but they still stayed in the whole post hardcore/indie rock camp.
Caleb Hernandez
Is Bob Pollard your teacher? LEL
Kevin Phillips
STUMP THE TRUNK
Hunter Peterson
That's pretty sick. All my dreams I'm just driving somewhere, barely anything cool ever happens
Adrian Scott
Funny thing is like no other indie/alt rockers have showed up in my dreams other than Stephen Malkmus (well Deerhoof showed up once but I don't know how these threads feel about them.)
I think it's because I listened to a ton of Pavement back in middle school and high school. I didn't get into Guided By Voices until my junior year of high school.
Camden Reed
Deerhoof is good, sir. glance at the charts.
Isaiah Garcia
Hey Eddie, do you think Ace will ever be able to get back into KISS? I refuse to see the KISS cover band with Thommy. I'll hang up and listen

Is it bad that I like some of the bands listed there but also like the bands that get posted in these threads?
Nolan Gutierrez
No I like some of the 120 minutes-core as well, but this general isn't about that.
Colton Price
A lot of those bands are good. There's a lot of crossover appeal with 120 minutes core and the brand of indie/college rock discussed in these threads.
Levi Myers
so basically shit that got radio play?
Caleb Cox
Many of these bands were on independent labels. I don't understand this "120-Core" bullshit.
Jonathan Mitchell
Nah, make your own general. 120 Minutes-core was in regular rotation on MTV during 120 Minutes, Alternative Nation, and sometimes daytime. 120 Minutes core was also played on top-40 radio of the era and/or alt-rock radio for the era. Indie rock was rarely played on 120 Minutes and never played during daytime rotation. Pixies/Breeders/Pavement were only occasionally played on alt-rock radio. Modest Mouse broke well after. Indie rock was almost exclusively played on college radio stations in the 90s and 00s.
Grayson Collins
YES mainstream radioplay. see
Alexander Gomez
Needs to be renamed, "Jesus fucking Christ, this is horrid-core" But you forgot Bush, and Sublime.
Blake Lewis
Candlebox, Seven Mary Three, Pearl Jam
Hudson Lopez
But wasn't Sublime ignored by radio stations until Bradley died? Do they really count if that's the case?
Julian Diaz
UM NO. They were extremely popular while he was alive. They made multiple music videos.
Jeremiah Bell
The most based post in this shit thread.
Lucas Stewart
>UM NO. They were extremely popular while he was alive. They made multiple music videos.
No they weren't. Not outside SoCal at least.
Making videos doesn't mean you're popular. Tons of no-name bands had videos.
Jaxson Jenkins
Wait, he did die, before their major label debut. Ha HA, hilarious.
Joshua Allen
Well, they're a shit band and you should be ashamed of your shit taste. 311 is the only band I can think of thats equally shit, so thats at least something.
Aaron Peterson
It's like he knew they were gonna have mainstream success like No Doubt and decided to escape.
yes but they were already selling out and making rock radio styled anthems and Top 10 singles by the end of their IRS era. The first EP and two LPs are their only true great releases. The rest of the IRS was not bad, but clearly diminishing returns. Major label era R.E.M. was abominable U2-tier shit.
I live in Ohio and this thread is complete gibberish to me. I guess I'm the old guy now.
Aaron Moore
good to know this board (maybe site? but who cares) is really worse than ever nowadays
Asher Sullivan
you forgot to bump the thread, here you go
David Foster
Does it matter? Yea Forums is one of the slowest boards with only like a couple dozen posters who come here regularly, so of course you're going to see what current phase the other posters are going through. Just be happy the shitty Ween threads have died down.
