It’s a mix of excellent and meh. I don’t care for the happy songs like Wedding Bell a lues. Not my thing.
However, the devils got me is 10/10. Days of Decision, Over, Dylan. And Statship and stuff is also really good.
Some of the feel good pop hits though are just whatever.
Also, Morrisseys lyrics are just a notch above most of these artists so I noticed that straight off. You’re left kind of wondering what Morrissey wants to say by saying someone else’s words.
I definitely know why he chose ‘Pawn in their game’ though.
It’s a cover album so it’s fun but I would chop out 1/3rd if thé selection and make it great.
