It isn't post rock

I actually just listened to this album today for the first time. It was fine but kinda disappointing relative to the hype plus I don't know how I feel about all the spoken word parts. Does it get better with more listens?

it is Post-Rock, just not even close to the best Post-Rock album.

yes it gets so much better after more listens

Yes absolutely. I thought it sucked at first but now it's in my top 10.

What would you say it is?

what is then?

Difficult to say. Maybe LYSF, Maybe A Society in Which No Tear is Shed is Inconcievably Mediocre if you consider it Post-Rock, which I do.

overrated as fuck

The best thing to happen in post-rock is probably Swans Are Dead, but as far as the classics go Laughing Stock is better than Spiderland

>LYSF
not even the best Godspeed album

We shouldn't even be considering that any GY!BE album is "the best Post-Rock album"

I agree, but for the record F# and Slow Riot are better

spirit of eden is better than laughing stock you stupid plebs, and still not as good as spiderland

No fucking way ya stupid cunt

still a 10/10 but LS is 11

Well yea, absolutely

your shitty avant-folk isn’t post-rock lol

you were saying?

dumb cunts can also rate music

Spirit of Eden is frontloaded and lacks the meditative quality of Laughing Stock. I hate to use a word as pretentious as ‘meditative’ but it’s difficult to explain songs like Myrrhman, New Grass and Runeii without sounding pretentious. Anyway, Spirit of Eden is like a stepping stone towards Mark fully realising his ideas for Laughing Stock.

based

It clicked for me after like 5th full listen. One of my favs

LYSF is overrated, f#a#8 is way better
