It Takes a Nation of Millions right? Honestly I feel like it's not even a top 20 hip hop album. I don't understand how its praise is so universal
(((Professional ratings)))
I never got the appeal of "It takes a nation of millions to hold us back"
Yeah it’s literally unlistenable after being exposed to modern production. The sample use is obnoxious and wonky as fuck.
Scaruffi had it as the best rap album ever too which is ridiculous imo
>Rap music is just computerised crap. I listen to Top of the Pops and after three songs I feel like killing someone
>reviews
cucked by the music industry my man
I wouldn't go as far as unlistenable but I do feel like its more of an interesting artifact than a great album to listen to now. Chuck d is great on it and flava brings some energy but the style of the nstrumentals does wear on u as the album goes on
Because muh black awaking.
I am not anti-black at all, I just don't see any purpose in this kind of stuff. It's sorta angry-black-male. Like those 70s blaxploitation movies.
It’s an album for advance music engineers and producers. You’ll never understand if you’re not one of the two.
Eh I meant awakening. Well this "woke" shit you know.
How will Scaruffi fags recover?
Fucking zoomers, always having the shittiest opinions
Worst beatle doesn't matter,
lolgo listen to madvillainy or to pimp a butterfly or lofi beats to relaxto faggots or whatever “””””psychedelic neo soul experimental hip hop”””” you might enjoy
lol I'm sure you have this special prodigious knowledge, right?
I actually bother to understand the music I listen to. So.
Doesn't answer my question. Are you an advanced music engineer and producer, or do you just like to pretend you could be if you wanted to/got the chance? Also,
>So.
Typing like a pretentious fag is only going to make you look even more like you're massively overestimating yourself.
I don’t get paid yet, and I wouldn’t call myself advance yet. But I do put the effort and have been taught.
Lots of fun and shitty work.
So you're in no place to talk as if you're special and only you and people on your incredible intellectual level can possibly appreciate it.
>I don’t get paid yet, and I wouldn’t call myself advance yet. But I do put the effort and have been taught.
You sound like you probably just have an hour slot on your college's radio station. And I normally don't correct spelling/grammar in online convo but you can't even spell "advanced" right. You're not above anyone here.
>So you're in no place to talk
Yes I can, i’ve fucking studied this album. It’s one of the most remarkable Hip Hop albums ever made. Doesn’t help that audio mixing is my passion,
If you see some retards shitting on such an amazing record because it features some 80’s Hip Hop idioms and a Black political edge. Wouldn’t you be annoyed?
>an album for advance music engineers and producers
Pathetic.
-t. It should have died in late 90s.
xD epic!
You're claiming to have a deep -- probably what you think is "objective" -- understanding of the album and that anyone who disagrees with you is clearly just straight up wrong. But at the same time you're saying it's an album for advanced music engineers and producers, which you literally said you aren't yourself.
I like the album I should mention.
My point was the album's highlights are the production. And people who are keen to notice that are going to spot it out. I did come out as pretentious, apologies for that. But seeing people give off such shitty points about ITANOM just pisses me off at this point. Hope this makes a little more sense.
It does. We're just going to keep disagreeing but that at least is a position that I can understand someone else reasonably having. Peace out.
Peace.
