Holy fucking shit this is cringe.

I don’t think about Reddit

I don't give a shit what reddit thinks, boomer.
Go back.

>2 Pink Floyd Albums
>3 Led Zeppelin Albums
>Queen
jesus christ do reddit even listen to music or just jerk off to "classic rock"

basically this

what subreddit is this from? their list is way more retarded than what Yea Forums or any other music site would have picked.

You just need one floyd and zep album, sabbath album should be the debut or master of reality. let it be is pretty good but top ten of the 70s? it’s one of the weaker beatle works. if you pick a bowie album the top choice should be station to station or one od the berlin trilogy. And the queen album could be removed for a better choice...probably a krautrock album imo

>probably a krautrock album
This. People don't realise the huge impact krautrock had on music. Tago Mago and Neu! are only two albums that influenced countless musicians.

>WYWH
>not Animals
>David Bowie
>Queen
>The Beatles
>no Eat a Peach
YIKES

No way this is real. Surely they've got to have more self awareness than that.

>not even Wire

No Ramones, no Iggy Pop and no Stooges

If that's the case, then Led Zeppelin IV would be higher than III

better than their picks for the 80’s but still pretty shitty

Compare with rate your music where you that use score voting:

These are good albums, better than American Football or Kanye.

Y'all niggas should relax, these albums are (mostly) good and way better than Krautrock shite y'all niggas talking about or Post-Punk (which good) doesn't take as much talent to make.
My list would consist of Mahavishnu, Davis, Gong, Morricone, Yes, Rush, Zappa, Weather Report and probably some Ska like The Specials but overall not bad and better than overrated folk trash like Nick Drake ya heard?

?

those albums are overrated as fuck and talentless tripe. Krautrock is just The Grateful Dead but even more boring and less fun. Only Kraut nazi music that is good is Faust and (maybe) some Amon Dull from time to time. Brits have always been superior in Rock music so it is a no brainer that the list should have had Genesis, Yes, KC and Eno. Fuck, krautrock is overrated by zoomers.

1. Gryphon - Gryphon
2. Black Sabbath - Vol 4
3. Penguin Cafe Orchestra - Music From the Penguin Cafe
4. Supertramp - Breakfast in America
5. Yes - The Yes Album
6. The Beach Boys - Surf's Up
7. Can - Ege Bamyasi
8. Faust - Faust IV
9. Kraftwerk - Autobahn
10. Talking Heads - Fear of Music

>Also no based Bob Dylan or Fleetwood cack
Fug redditfags

As an Elton fan it genuinely frustrates me to see Goodbye Yellow Brick Road always placed on the pedestal of greatness. It has some great songs, some of his best work, but the rest is half-baked filler. The dadrock worship of the double album has allowed some really shoddy records to get way more praise than they actually deserve.

Stevie Wonder - Songs In the Key of Life
Aphrodite's Child - 666
Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick
Miles Davis - On the Corner
Frank Zappa - Joe's Garage
George Harrison - All Things Must Pass
Stevie Wonder - Innervisions
Vashti Bunyan - Just Another Diamond Day
David Bowie - "Heroes"
Genesis - Selling England By the Pound

DSOTM-By far pink floyd's most overrated work, not even their best. Animals is better.

WYWH-Fair enough, it is what it is.

Paranoid- I think MOR should be there instead

LZ3- horses for courses, it could have been a few LZ albums

Bridge over troubled water- Stone me for this, but I prefer Graceland.

Ziggy stardust- pretty deserving I suppose

Let it be- I cannot fathom this. you have revolver, their best album, the white album, abbey road, sergant peppers', rubber soul and you pick the hastily cobbled together live performance to capitalise on their remaining days.

LZ4- fair do

Physical graffiti- I can see why

a night at the opera- watches bohemian rhapsody once. But seriously, if a queen album was to be put on this, then why not sheer heart attack? news of the world? just because it has bohemian rhapsody on it?

There should be an elvis costello album there, from one of his first three I don't think anyone had a first three albums as quality as him

Ram
Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band
Blood on the Tracks
Joe's Garage
All Things Must Pass
Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller)
Ege Bamyasi
On the Beach
Larks' Tongues in Aspic
Horses

here were the results the last time we had a vote (that i know of)

nice list

>ITT: People somehow still not understanding that popular, well-known albums will wind up at the top of any popularity contest
I could get behind having one or even two of Led Zep's best albums up there -- I'd put it between Phys Graffiti (my personal #1 favorite from them), IV, and Houses of the Holy though. Surprised to see III rated above those (unless this is some small-scale list; you obviously hunted the list down because half of Yea Forums apparently just climaxes every time they "le cringe" but idk where you got it from).

1. Supertramp - Breakfast In America
2. King Crimson - Red
3. Yes - Close To The Edge
4. Aja - Steely Dan
5. Abba - Abba
6. Kansas - Leftoverture
7. Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
8. Blondie - Parallel Lines
9. ELO - Out Of The Blue
10. Black Sabbath - Paranoid

When I saw this thread in the catalog it was next to Limp Bizkit general. Perhaps we shouldn't be so judgmental.

細野晴臣 & 横尾忠則 - Cochin Moon
Heldon - Agneta Nilsson
Tim Buckley - Starsailor
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - Mirror Man
Terry Allen - Lubbock (On Everything)
Judee Sill - Judee Sill
Steve Reich - Drumming
This Heat - This Heat
Cymande - Cymande
Public Image Ltd. - First Issue

At this point in 2019 were most of the "obscure" stuff is available for free, why are normies still rating bands like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin so high? There are plenty of better prog-rock bands out there. Camel, Gentle Giant, ELP none of them are actually obscure but I guess they kind of were in the early internet years so people knew what was popular in the radio. Red by King Crimson would be the save and not so pleb choice.

Then you have more horrid pleb shit like Queen, for fuck sake, a Night in the most boring album ever made but I guess Bohemian Rhapsody is a little fun song.
Paranoid, not even the best Black Sabbath record that being Heaven and Hell.
Ziggy fucking Stardust holy fucking shit when Low, Diamond Dogs and Station to Station exist. The 70s were peak Bowie and this morons peak fucking Ziggy Stardust.

But what triggers me the most is they included what must be the beatle's most soulless and mediocre album in that list just because it was released in the 70s and we're talking about that piece of shit version produced by Spector not even the Naked version which is similar to what the Beatles intended.

This is reddit, fucking dull normies with dull taste too afraid to list good shit because they afraid to be too pretentious but they also don't want to be too superficial including actual good pop records Saturday Night Fever. Middle of the road faggots. Also the lack of Bob Dylan triggers me as well.

You literally only mentioned two albums that aren't 100% garbage. None of the bands you mentioned are anywhere near as good as trash like Limp Bizkit, you just never got over that weird stage in high school.

that's not even the best beatles album.

It is the only one released in the 1970s, though.

How many of Yea Forums visit Reddit, regularly. Do you have to change your opinions and join the hive mind to avoid "downvotes" or is individual thought welcome, there?

cringe scaruffi drone

Here's mine:
1. Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
2. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV
3. David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
4. Yes - Close to the Edge
5. Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
6. Black Sabbath - Paranoid
7. David Bowie - Low
8. Queen - Queen II
9. David Bowie - Station to Station
10. Joy Divison - Unknown Pleasures

>only one bowie album and its's not "Low"

reddit is cringe.

All 70s music is trash

The trick to get upvoted on Reddit is to take an uncontroversial opinion, and present it as if it's an edgy, iconoclastic opinion.

"I know Ziggy Stardust is most people's favorite, but for me Low was always that hidden gem I kept returning to. Did you know it probably inspired Joy Division?"

"I'm not a fan of Trump, but honestly, beating a Trump voter senseless isn't a good thing to do."
etc

>t. reddit

>yeah most will people agree with me when I say I love Paranoid. But have you HEARD this record?!

Attached: 1556719049099.jpg (173x200, 11K)

As physical media continues to get phased out, and people continue relying on streaming services (which may or may not have the music you want) instead of p2p, expect this sort of basicness to spread.
Yea Forums (which is already pretty plebby) will become reddit-tier eventually.

remember when people on reddit had no idea how to hear In the Court of the Crimson King because it wasn't on youtube, and it was a big revelation to them when they found it on pornhub? as if the album is some hidden gem and was never mass released or something.
no canon will survive this sort of mass low attention span and inability to do research. all the 25 year old boomers here better cope with the fact that all the music you like will be washed away into complete irrelevance in your lifetime.

even by reddit standards this is awful, I could pull a better meme list out of my arse without resorting to niche contrarianism

Neil Young - Harvest
