Well, after Pledia officially released the statement revealing that PRISTIN disbanded, I couldn't get this idea out of my head. I really want to do something about this. It is kind of a injustice where us, fans may take action upon.
Then you may ask, why? Well to start with Pledis is known as being one of the worst companies to be a part of. They neglected AFTERSCHOOL, they neglected NU’EST, they messed up with HELLOVENUS, they neglected PRISTIN and they even stole and mistreated SEVENTEEN this is a chain of events where no one has acted against. They take young people full of hopes and dreams, only to abuse, harass, steal, mistreat and humiliate them. And when they have enough of you they force your way out by dungeoning you.
Even though we used to make jokes about it. It is not fun anymore! We have had enough of it. I consider myself someone very empathic, and if I would put myself on any of those girls' shoes, damn it feels like I am tied to a rock at the bottom of a lake. Think about it? Those girls gave almost half of their lives training at Pledis and right now they have barely minimal momentum, fewer support and no compensation for all the time wasted. What would you do?
This is why I started this thread, which reminds me of Cloud Atlas, a 2012 sci-fi filme by The Wachowskis where multiple plots are shown at the same time, but they are all tangled. One of these arcs feature a post modern Seul, and showcases a futuristic cafe where maidens (which in my interpretation are entertainers), they must abide to the rules which they must honor their consumers, obey their superiors and dedicate their whole life until they can retire, until one of the maidens rebel herself claiming “I'll not be subjected to criminal abuse.”
What can we exactly enact against this? Should we start a petition? Should we seek authorities? Can we reach/seek Korean justice, lawyers or law enforcers? What can we do? This must not pass empty handed!
