Really? you pick THIS as your favorite Bowie album...

Really? you pick THIS as your favorite Bowie album? this short collection of catchy tunes is the one you say hey i like this the best out of this great man's entire discography... seriously?

yes

It's comfy.

Yeah m8
Aren’t all of his best albums just collections of catchy tunes?

That's not The Man Who Sold the World.

literally the best bowie album

it is the sound of cocaine

I think the ambient tracks are better than the ones in 'Heroes'.

OP is probably a ziggyfag, maybe heroes. Embarassing!

Based!

>not being a ziggyfag
top contrarianism

based, low is incredibly overrated. Ziggy, Hunky Dory, Heroes and Station To Station are all better.

My dad said once that David Bowie is faggot music

The Leon Suites are the greatest things he’s made, prove me wrong.

Station to Station is the best one.

Station to Station is his best but you suck

station to station is THE greatest record he ever made. Cohesive, concise, and showcased his most interesting persona

i'm sorry but this is going to have to receive a yikes from me.

how is it possible you think a ~6 song ""album"" with no bangers on it is bowie's best? i understand the less well known something is the more hipsters tend to value it however you need not insult a man's legacy with your attempt to gain social brownie points

Go listen to Station to Station more. Especially the self titles track.

in what fucking world is golden years not a banger?

"Heroes" > Low > Aladdin Sane > the others

>no bangers

it is the sound of being sober again

can't prove you wrong because the leon suites are fucking great

>short collection of catchy tunes
I don't think that description fits any of the songs on the B side of the record. The duality of the record from side A to side B is part of what makes it so great. Side A is a lot of short punchy songs, while side B is only a few more drawn out songs. Listening to this album on anything other than vinyl takes that aspect away from it, though.

The one Bowie album I ever got was Young Americans. Why? It had my favorite Bowie single, Fame, on it. It had a cover of Across The Universe. (Not a very good cover, I might add.) Plus, it was from 1975 -- the best year for 70s music.

I give it a 5/10. Not really enjoyable except for Fame and the title track.

So, of all the Bowie LPs I could've tried, did I happen to randomly back into the worst one?

>t. never listened to “Word on a Wing”

>Station to Station
>Stay
>Golden Years
>World on a Wing
>Wild is the Wind
>not bangers

>TVC-15
>Not a fucking banger

>tfw you will never hear Beauty and the Beast for the first time again

mad because "Heroes" gets all rep when the entire album is still so fresh 40 years later

i like the version from nassau better despite the lesser sound quality, sorry man

still a pretty good song, just my least favorite on the album

earthworm jim looking mf

its fair to say never let me down is bowies most underrated masterpiece

Was about to post this

no, you just happened to stumble upon one of the greatest examples of a "transitional" album
david was becoming obsessed with funk and soul music during the diamond dogs tour and just went all out halfway through the tour and made diamond dogs in philly. he'd later continue the soul sound on station to station. i do think young americans era bowie has some of his most underrated fashion as well, the shaved eyebrows and makeup leftover from the glam combined with soul fits him so well
it's not a bad album, in fact, i think everyone can agree it's extremely underrated because it's sandwiched between diamond dogs and station to station
hey i know you
didn't you used to be the thin white duke?

I remember listening to Station to Station randomly walking from work. That was fucking pure rush going through one on the second part. When youve tried uppers, you will understand.

Really? you pick THIS as your favorite Springsteen album? this short collection of catchy tunes is the one you say hey i like this the best out of this great man's entire discography... seriously?

this was proven to not be him btw

Really? you pick THIS as your favorite Electric Light Orchestra album? this 2lp collection of catchy tunes is the one you say hey i like this the best out of the great Jeff Lynne’s entire discography... seriously?

I think Black Star is the best bowie album as album, everything is daring, it sounds like nothing else, and there's no junk on it.

"Never Let Me Down" is not a masterpiece, it's just okay. "Low" is great because it's compelling and has two different sides and challenging sounds, but the lyrical effort bowie put out for it is weak.

based and madmanpilled

>not being a stationfag

Over half the record is uptempo funky bangers what are you talking about? Stay and Golden Years have the tightest grooves Bowie ever had on record.

>short collection of catchy tunes
>instrumental experimental ambient krautrock

What?

There is not a single track in all of Aladdin Sane that comes even close to "Time".
