Bad Witch > Not The Actual Events > Add Violence
Trilogy is NIN's best
Bad Witch > Not The Actual Events > Add Violence
All style no substance, quite forgettable.
Year Zero was his last high point
I found a lot of substance in all of these songs, seemed like Trent genuinely threw a wrench into a lot of his techniques.
Year Zero was probably the biggest game changer though, but even that album didn't have the energy and passion of the Trilogy
Add violence is so bad though. Inconsistent style, mediocre songs and 3/5 songs are boring. Easily the worst thing nine inch nails have ever done.
The Lovers, This Isn't The Place and The Background World are all literally top-NIN.
NTAE is actually the best and my favorite NIN record, up there with Broken
I prefer nin when they are more aggressive or ambitious. These track just had nothing for me, they felt like hesitation marks but less fun and less catchy
his output wont be as good as it used to be but ill still listen to whatever he decides to release because its always worth a spin. less than and burning bright are fucking amazing though, i had both tracks on repeat every day for at least a year
They felt like Hesitation Marks but more ambient and atmospheric, which I personally thought actually really made that song stronger, personally at least
>All style no substance
Bad Witch has the best style and is Trent's best work in years. Try both.
People sleep on Bad Witch's instrumentals
I'm Not From This World and Play The Goddamned Part are the best songs NIN has made since the likes of Just Like You Imagined or The Mark Has Been Made
>needing your Nine Inch Nails to be aggressive.
>hating on Hesitation Marks
>thinking Year Zero was the last high point
Broken fags fuck off
imagine posting this when hesitation marks exists
>won't be as good as it used to be
you're correct; it's even better
True. I've always loved his instrumentals. I would like to find electronic artists who made full albums of stuff like The Way Out Is Through or Just Like You Imagined, and Trent's recent output shows that he is only getting better at it.
I just want more mommy HTDA
How is his music so bad but still so addicting, fuck.
HTDA is trash. Drowning was the last good song they did
I'm sorry to learn about your mental deficiency, user.
Because it's not bad retard.

>Add Violence is bad
The Lovers is one of the most subtle and also one of the best songs on The Trilogy. It's absolutely stunning. I love that sampled laugh you hear.
It will be a song that will get its love later once fans wake the fuck up, shame.
Based.
Have they ever released an instrumental album?
I barely know them, but what I enjoy most from some of their biggest hits like Closer or The Perfect Drug is the instrumental part.
They have 2 hour long instrumental album "Ghosts".
A lot of NIN's albums also have "instrumental" versions. Year Zero, The Slip, Spiral, With_Teeth, The Fragile can be listened to purely in instrumentals.
Check out The Fragile: Deviations
thanks
can't believe he wasted this whole decade dropping trash.

Trimming the fat plebs off his fanbase is a thankless task, but necessary.
The Slip is still my favorite, to me it's their most fun and enjoyable, while most varied.
I also think it's Trent giving us his best work lyrically.

This is literally one of the greatest NIN songs.
retard
Absolutely, I think Burning Bright will also be considered a NIN classic a few years from now.
I think entirety of this Trilogy will be seen essential, just as essential as The Downard Spiral or The Fragile, I honestly wasn't impressed by NIN like this since Year Zero.
>no new Nine Inch Nails in 2019
Just listen to Old Town Road.
Trent said something is coming, he specifically said "lots coming in 2019" and also said they already know what next NIN album is gonna be.
Stay patient and cautious.
The only NIN album that isn't aggressive is Hesitation Marks and even that has In Two and "Copy Of A" and "Came Back Haunted" have a lot of edge to them, other songs as well, it has anger in it, the rage is quieter, but it's in there.
Honestly I'm very impressed with his new work and happy to see tront continuing to put out successful work
I'm so impressed by Trent too. All of his albums have their own identity, sound.
yes
songexploder.net/nine-inch-nails
there's also all the scores.. The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo is 3 hours long, The Social Network is good, Gone Girl is good, Before The Flood too
>imagine posting this when hesitation marks exists
you're trying to condescend to someone over hesitation marks? that's rich
Hesitation Marks is still actually the best NIN album.
I am convinced the only ones who don't realize this are the ones who want Trent to scream and be angery, which is a shame, there is much more to Trent's music than anger and Hesitation Marks a lot of emotion in it of its own.
Does anyone have that GIF of Trent Reznor's widened eyes during the performance of Reptile? It's pretty recent, 2017 I think.
From this;

This performance is so fucking intense.
AV>BW>NTAE
No it's not. It finds it's own sound space to work in but there's some pretty boring tracks in there. Copy of A, Find My Way, All Time Low, Satellite, and more, all dull and forgettable.
none of those songs are dull, essepcially All Time Low, that's a higlight.
Find My Way is wonderful, especially is build-up.
Copy Of A is pretty intense.
Satellite is probably the catchiest thing on the album.
