"Igor" is an album full of lush, synth jams that hit you with each track. Melodies that carry you away into another world, Igor's World. The story of a man falling in love, ultimately letting them go, but still clinging on to that person. It's a story people can relate to for years, and years to come. Tyler pours his creative mind, his creative words, and his creative personality into this album. It shows just how talented Tyler Okonma, the human being, really is. His understanding of creating catchy chords, catchy bars, and meaningful lyrics is something truly to behold. "Igor" is special album that an artist strives for most, but some can never reach. This is what "Flower Boy" and all his subsequent LP's built up to, a love letter to everyone, a love letter to Tyler Okonma, and especially a love letter to Igor.

This style of hooks/bridges was seen throughout the album and made it an incredibly samey and boring listen. Hooks can be one word, hooks can be super complex, but to just spam a phrase mindlessly like Tyler did on every song is just lazy, and we all know he can do much better. I think he was just doing this to keep up his hype from flower boy and pander to his new arthoe and woke fanbase due to his "gayness". Album was terrible due to how middling it was. A couple of tracks were good but thats it.

Stopping racism one post at a time

The first time I listened to Igor, I had mixed feelings on it, mainly because of Tyler's singing throughout the album, and I thought some of the songs sounded overproduced. But the night it came out, I listened to it 4 more times, I just felt compelled to. With each listen, the world Tyler builds in this album just becomes more fleshed out and all of the songs become so much more unique. A lot of the backing synth melodies on this album are the most enchanting things I've ever heard. Some exceptional moments for me are the breakdown towards the end of IGOR'S THEME, Playboi Carti's verse on EARFQUAKE, all of I THINK, the arpeggio's on RUNNING OUT OF TIME, the synth on PUPPET, and the entire last 10 minutes of the album. This is BY FAR Tyler's best album yet, and I can't wait to see if he'll be able to top this in the future.
