exmilitary was some lowly indie artists fucking around with a cracked version of ableton for fun, and making something unique and enjoyable. the money store was them expanding upon their initial vision for death grips with an actual budget. after that death grips became something different entirely, and i think its plain to see that the project should've concluded with that powers that b.

bottomless pit for me has the least staying power out of all their music. i enjoyed it but i very rarely listen to it. YOTS didn't impress me, it sounded sterile and didn't sound "new" like all their previous output. you are welcome to like those albums of course, but they said they were going to break up after jenny death and i think you can see that change of attitude with their newer work.
machine girl has been doing excellent work that i think closer resembles the intent of death grips than death grips' current works.
i had purchased every album of theirs physically until yots, so i think my opinion is qualified.

Honest take here though, BP was an album that I didn't really care for initially, but over time it's grown on me the absolute most out of their albums. A lot of the deeper cuts on it like Houdini and 80808 went from being filler to being absolute standouts in their catalog. YotS I loved right from the start and it's still my favorite DG release alongside NLDW.

Couldn’t agree more. they think this themselves with the break up note after NOTM and calling themselves DG 2.0 at the end of Jenny Death.
