I see people are arguing that, when you put the middle school stigma aside, this album has a lot of quality music on it. I don't understand that notion at all. None of the songs here have real staying power, I don't think I'd truly a miss a single one of them
Anyone disagree and think this could be a classic? Seems like a minority opinion
>I read the graffiti in the bathroom stall like the lonely scriptures of the shopping mall
Kayden Smith
Angsty politically driven garbage
Nicholas Martinez
Whatsername is a banger
Levi Martin
this album is fantastic though, one of the most iconic and culturally impactful albums of its decade
pretty much everyone knows the title track and jesus of suburbia is one of the most well made and effective rock songs of the 00s.
this album is still impressive to this day. it's well written, genuine, creative, has great production, and is by all accounts a cohesive and memorable artistic statement that made waves with the youth of its time.
only Holiday is actually political, and all it really says is that War is bad, which is objectively true.
Calling American's idiots isn't really much of a controversial statement either.
Logan Clark
>objective truth Lol
Juan Cruz
Bootlicker
Connor Garcia
Have these eye shadow wearing boomers made a Trump album yet?
Isaiah Barnes
Only someone that believes in some objective truth to follow can be a bootlicker you fag
Evan Thomas
8/10 don’t really concern myself with the politics or the concept
Kayden Adams
give reasons
Daniel Parker
I don't think anyone actually takes the political message seriously anymore. It was a temporary thing during the years of worldwide Bush hysteria when every half-literate with five minutes to watch some news pretended to be a genius by saying "fuck bush"
Jace Lopez
They'll probably rerelease American Idiot with an orange case
Brandon Rogers
dananana nananana dont wanna be orange cheeto idiot danananana
Connor James

Joshua Turner
Hard to take it serously when it's dated shit
>Dude Bush is bad lmao >12 years later >Dude Trump is Hitler, why can't we have REAL presidents like Bush again
Luke Adams
I'm finally reaching that age where I can get past the cringe of remembering who I was in middle school and green day being a huge part of that but even then, I realize that american idiot isn't an album I care for at all. most of the songs that stick in my memory as actually being good are either on nookie or warning
Mason Green
I think there's a lot of uniq stuff on it but i also think it's really edgy this album was the start of modern edgy Green Day that so many including i hate
James Clark
Name any rock song of the 21st century that has staying power besides Seven Nation Army.
