What are some other albums like this?
What are some other albums like this?
Goddamn Cream is boring. So many better contemporary albums
Who has a similar sound to Cream but is better?
>similar sound to Cream
What did you mean exactly? What is ti you think you hear?
Beatlesque melodies with a lot of emphasis on effects heavy guitars, and really loud Zeppelin-like Bonham drumming.
b8
Besides other Cream releases, early Grand Funk, May Blitz, Them, Ten Years After.
Fuck off.
Tame Impala is shit.
>Grand Funk, May Blitz, Them, Ten Years After.
These all stink and sound nothing like Cream.
Get all the Nazz albums OP they're like Disreali Gears but in pop form
>Tame IMpala
Good music is not for you.
>Them
they're a great mid-60s northern irish r&b band, but in a different (and much earlier by 60s/70s time standards) vein than Cream
actually nevermind, I just started listening to post-Van Morrison Them from 1970 and it's not really like Cream, but a way different sound than what I associate them with (Gloria, It's All Over Now Baby Blue)
>These all stink and sound nothing like Cream.
They're pretty similar. Whether you think they're good or not is your prerogative.
>Get all the Nazz albums OP they're like Disreali Gears but in pop form
Nazz is way closer to The Who, and they're way worse than The Who, so you might as well just recommend The Who.
There's plenty of similarity on the Angry Young Them to Cream stuff. They're not contemporaneous but they have a similar sound and Alan Henderson's bass playing fills a similar niche to Jack Bruce's, albeit much more rudimentary. And the post-Van Morrison stuff is way more psych tinged.
>Nazz is way closer to The Who,
The Todd Rundgren/Laura Nyro stuff is very Beatles-y and more similar to Cream's more pop oriented songs or early Tame Impala
youtube.com
>youtube.com
Ah yes, I love all those Cream tracks with soft vocals, piano, and almost 0 psych or blues influence.
>There's plenty of similarity on the Angry Young Them to Cream stuff.
Not really other than it's rooted in blues. Are you a musician?
>Not really other than it's rooted in blues.
Disagree.
>Are you a musician?
Yes.
That album is boring. Only good tracks are Sunshine of Your Love and We're Going Wrong. TOBU is overrated
youtube.com
this is almost a cream parody
Also try The Groundhogs.
well you don't have a very good ear then.
I agree that none of the bands you listed are very close to Cream other than Grand Funk. The power-trio format is the basis for their sound, which you clearly don't understand.
I'm the only one so far who posted something in the same galaxy:
Other examples would be Cactus and West, Bruce, and Laing (kinda cheating because Jack Bruce was in the band).
Cactus: youtube.com
West, Bruce & Laing: youtube.com
Stop posting this stuff it fucking sucks
>Stop posting this stuff it fucking sucks
It's certainly not Jewish critic approved
Which means it's good and you're a faggot
>Ah yes, I love all those Cream tracks with soft vocals, piano, and almost 0 psych or blues influence.
you're being factious but there's actually a bunch of cream songs that are just that
okay? literally not relevant to anything but go on boomer
>well you don't have a very good ear then.
Yes, a difference of opinion can only be explained by one person being completely wrong.
Or maybe we're hearing different things and neither one of us is objectively right about anything.
May Blitz is very Cream-like. Being a power-trio isn't the only way to sound like Cream. The Leslie West track you posted is similar, yes, but I don't think it's too much more similar to anything I posted. No way to post something that sounds exactly like Cream, because there's only one of them.
>West, Bruce & Laing
Eh, there's similarity to be sure but I think it's closer to Mountain than Cream.
OP ignore all these boomer bores and just listen to Nazz youtube.com
>Jewish
>faggot
Why do you listen to peace/love music yet talk like a nazi?
He's a boomer
>stop posting this music that's objectively more similar to Cream than the schlock that everyone else is posting in a thread about music that sounds like Cream, the Jewish critic tastemakers that I get my opinions on music from say that stuff isn't cool to listen to because it's Jew-free
>there's actually a bunch of cream songs that are just that
post em
youre kidding right you arent actually like this are you
>Eh, there's similarity to be sure but I think it's closer to Mountain than Cream.
Mountain is based on Cream. Felix Pappalardi was Cream's producer since the early days.
There's a load of piano driven songs on Goodbye. Why are you boomers so pedantic?
the problem with the music business is much like the problem that Henry Ford described as being the source of the downfall of baseball.
"Too much Jew".
How old are you
36
>Mountain is based on Cream.
Yeah, they're similar. They have different sounds though, and distinct musical identities.
>There's a load of piano driven songs on Goodbye.
There's two and they both have psych influence. Badge is all pop, but I wouldn't call one song "a bunch."
Steppenwolf
Iron Butterfly
Let me tell you something. If you start paying attention to who is Jewish and who isn't, the world starts to make a lot more sense. This is especially true for any form of media and entertainment.
>Steppenwolf
Steppenwolf 7 and For Ladies Only are criminally underrated.
My favorite Steppenwolf song is this one, very un-PC by today's standards:
youtube.com
>Iron Butterfly
The Metamorphosis album that pre-saged Captain Beyond has some great stuff.
youtube.com
>There's two and they both have psych influence. Badge is all pop, but I wouldn't call one song "a bunch."
I'm fuming at this. Fuck off you pedantic boring as fuck boomer. How much time this week have you spent in a record store when you should have been looking after your wife?
Thought as much.
>Let me tell you something.
THIS THREAD IS BOOMER HELL. GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE.
This thread is a sick joke to get at me specifically. You've won.
It's not pedantry, it's specificity.
It's boomerangism, and it's boring.
>I don’t want you here, in the room or in my country,” Clapton declared. “Listen to me, man! I think we should vote for Enoch Powell. Enoch’s our man. I think Enoch’s right, I think we should send them all back. Stop Britain from becoming a black colony. Get the foreigners out. Get the wogs out. Get the coons out. Keep Britain white. I used to be into dope, now I’m into racism. It’s much heavier, man. Fucking wogs, man. Fucking Saudis taking over London. Bastard wogs. Britain is becoming overcrowded and Enoch will stop it and send them all back. The black wogs and coons and Arabs and fucking Jamaicans and fucking… don’t belong here, we don’t want them here. This is England, this is a white country, we don’t want any black wogs and coons living here. We need to make clear to them they are not welcome. England is for white people, man. We are a white country. I don’t want fucking wogs living next to me with their standards. This is Great Britain, a white country. What is happening to us, for fuck’s sake?
>Eric Clapton, guitarist of Cream and BOOMER extraordinaire
You might like Uriah Heep
literally the opposite of what I'm saying, kek
cool
The Beatles hated wogs too:
youtube.com
alright now I know this is bait nobody would be this stupid to misunderstand these anti-racist songs from the get back sessoins
>boomerangism
Nah. You said something, I asked you to prove it, and you failed.
Simple as.
iron butterfly niqqa
>believing the revisionist history that it was actually an anti-racist song
Is it even a question?
I nearly just replied to this
Never understood the "I was drunk" defense. If anything alcohol just makes you more honest.
there is nothing to defend, he was right.
(not really)
>a majority of London is now non-white and it's completely unrecognizable as the city it once was in the Swinging '60s
>Clapton wasn't right when he said the wogs should be sent back and that people should vote for Enoch Powell
okay bro
Imagine saying some shit like that now, your career would be over before you finished your sentence
>Imagine saying some shit like that now, your career would be over before you finished your sentence
I wonder why
Interesting, that sounds like funkadelic
can you niggers stay on topic and rec some stuff that sounds like Disraeli Gears?
We have been. Have you listened to any of it?
Nah
yeah give me more
Which recs did you like and which didn't you?
“I don’t want you here, in the room or in my country,” Clapton declared. “Listen to me, man! I think we should vote for Enoch Powell. Enoch’s our man. Layla is an infinitely better record than this. Every time I try to get into Disraeli,I always want to jump into the Dominos' record
Mountain
"I used to be into dope, now im into racism. It's much heavier man!"
Too many to name. There were dozens of 60's psych bands trying to sound like Cream, it was everywhere back then.
