They were, and the Scarrufi drones who parrot his belief that being there first is the only thing that matters are wrong here like they are so many other places. Vs. was a good album, but Plush and Core (and even some of Tiny music) were clearly better than everything else Pearl Jam released.

Tiny Music is pretty damn underrated, it proved STP could be much more eclectic than most grunge bands out there. Some of their best stuff is in that album.
