>but dude all of the best guitarists were self-taught!
But dude all of the best guitarists were self-taught!
If you need a teacher, you don't have it.
you mean like steve vai?
a rare guitar collector's idea of a guitar player
don't have what? have a teacher?
This
>a serial masturbator
>good
>haha the shred guy is bad cause he had a teacher haha
>im gonna put some faggot that plays single notes through 14 delay fuzz and reverb pedals on a pedestal though the feeling hahahaha
mike keneally >>> steve vai as far as zappa guitarist disciples go
Most guitar players have had a teacher in some form or another. Whether it be a friend or someone they're paying. It's very rare somebody picks up the guitar and becomes an excellent guitar player without any guidance at all
*Ahem*
john fahey?
define best guitarist and I'll tell you why who you think is the best aren't the best, the thread...
>an excellent guitar player
>Kurt
Online teachers and books count too. Someone is always teaching you. Noone just 'finds out' every diatonic chord in the major key
pretty much every Nirvana song is a variation of the same 5 power chords.
you could teach a child to play like 90% of their discography in a few minutes
Doesn't mean he's not awesome.
Toby Driver
There's a difference between a good guitarist and a good artist btw
jimi?
nice projection you insecure faggot
Hendrix
Sterling Morrison
Jonny Greenwood
Robert Johnson
George Harrison
Jack White
Will Toldeo
Notice a pattern?
salty guitar student
some of the best ever?
but did the man who invited the guitar go to guitar teaching school?
Yah and none had formal teaching
Literally none of them are that great..
he is, but the point made was,
>It's very rare somebody picks up the guitar and becomes an excellent guitar player without any guidance at all
and you responded with Kurt Kobain. Kurt is a good songwriter, but he's by no standard an "excellent guitar player"
Great artist. Bad musician.
never gonna make it
>Only I define what great means
Yikes
Incorrect. People who actually knew him would disagree.
>projecting THIS hard
