New EP soon!

I think it has a lot of potential, can definitely hear it with a full band and possibly more aggressive vocals. Anyways, nice idea. I like the melodies and your voice!

I hate filling out tabs so it's a little simplistic, yes. Thanks though :). I like your Keys & Coins a lot. A nice song and pretty innovative to boot with a cool tune.

I think it would benefit from a little more angst really. The chord progression is simple but works, though the recording quality is bad even for a bedroom demo. The vocals are way louder than it should be and I personally don't find the tone of your voice very appealing. Not my cup of tea, but don't let that get you down.

>soundcloud.com/thefishwhosavedtheplanet/keys-coins
Cool melodies and nice synths! The composition is fairly tight and I like the flow of it. I wouldn't call this house tho. The fish who saved the planet - the game when?

>soundcloud.com/aedact
It sounds like you are very unfamiliar with NI Reactor but you keep trying. The songs are way too long, very unstructured and get stale after half a minute. Sorry dude, it's whack.

>soundcloud.com/slave-beaver-revolt/someones-basement-in-florida
Damn, heavy shit describes it perfectly. Everything sounds clean and has a sort weight to it. Maybe it is too clean for what it is, a little bit of dirt wouldn't have hurt the mix, but that is nitpicking. Good stuff!

>soundcloud.com/kaissac/pitchdown/s-HbtNQ
Yeah, keep it private my dude. The beats are very weak and the lyrics made a cringe at some points. Based on your other two tracks I think you could do better than that.

>soundcloud.com/tutenkhamenbeats/lfs
The melody is nice and the drums are really crisp. The lead synth is rather weird, some of the freqs are louder than they should be. It sounds like a bad EQ job on that. Also I got bored by the end, which is weird considering I listen to 4 bar loops for hours.

Made a couple of visualizers for my songs, they're not that special, but I wanted them on youtube so

youtube.com/watch?v=P1boNt3RyQs

youtube.com/watch?v=JjGDD7Wt7wc

recc

There are a couple problems in the production off the bat. The clap is too loud, and the hats a bit too low, also the 808 feels a bit off key. I get that this is a beat, but it just feels too repetitive, maybe add some automation and layers to the piano.

Damn dude this shit goes hard. The riffs are heavy af but catchy and those drums are incredible. Those blast beats are amazing. The only problem I have are the vocals, but that's a personal feel. I feel like they would fit a black metal or grindcore track a bit better. Also the track feels a bit too clean, but again that's just my taste. Good song anons

love your song underwatr, but besides that other stuff are a bit too out there for me. I admire your production skills tho, I wish I could make stuff like that.

forgot to say the genres

>youtube.com/watch?v=m7OdlofH65Y
The instrumental parts are really cool. I hate acoustic guitars with passion but you made it bearable. The distortion and reverb washes over everything nicely. I don't like the vocals tho, sounds like you're bored or half asleep (I know, shoegaze and all, but still). That ping-pongish delay on the vocal track was very unnecessary if you ask me.

thanks for taking the time to listen bro! sorry that you didn't enjoy my voice, have a nice day!

>youtube.com/watch?v=P1boNt3RyQs
>youtube.com/watch?v=JjGDD7Wt7wc
I really hope this synthwave meme dies eventually. It could be just my taste but every single stuff in this genre sounds exactly the fucking same and not in a good way. Distorted saw arp basslines and sidechained kicks are way overplayed.

Nothing personal user, it's very hard to impress me with vocals. Keep up the good work, cheers!

Your voice sounds very weird, but in a good way. The flow is a bit off. Shout out to Quelle Chris for that beat, it's like straight off some obscure early 90's conscious jazzy hip hop tape. Interesting stuff.

>It sounds like you are very unfamiliar with NI Reactor but you keep trying. The songs are way too long, very unstructured and get stale after half a minute. Sorry dude, it's whack.

None of my music is made with Reaktor or things like that, I don't use vsts or made-up plugins because I create my own instruments. I'm not trying to be defensive but It seems you lack a wider perception of music if you think everything should be 'structured' or have a specific length, not in experimental or especially acousmatic music. Perhaps you're just not familiar with the genre and I don't blame you.

thanks man, check out my ep if you're after something weirder

Oh, cool, I honestly thought you were just poorly messing about with skrewell. I'd love to get more details about your self-made instruments, if these are really acoustic sounds that's very interesting. Indeed, I am not very familiar with acousmatic music, but even your shorter songs drag on a bit too much in my opinion and I think it'd benefit if you cut some of drones in half at least. Cheers mate!

thanks for the feedback! you seem to have a very wide range of musical genres, the album you shilled recently (of which I told you it reminded me of GYBE and Phil Glass) and now this! nice voice also, made me think of Empyrium (great German band). recommended!

hey man I just make music that I like to listen to, and I like synthwave. Besides, I don't see many synthwave producers in this board. I don't make this as a meme, I genuinely like the elements that make it, like arps and plucky distorted basslines. I know it might get repetitive after a while, but hey as you said, it might be your taste. For me most trap also feels repetitive, and I see a lot of it on this board. And I doubt the ''meme'' will die, there are plenty of artists and fans of the genre who will keep it alive.

What about you? Have you ever experimented in Max-msp or Supercollider? Any kind of manual architecturing environment? Those are the instruments I was talking about. You seem to know lot about since you define my music as "poorly messing around" and I was wondering if you can give some insightful advice.

Dude fuck the other critique you got this track was real as fuck. One of my favorite things I’ve heard here. I love your voice and the sincerity in it, I was buying into everything you were saying. If the beat dropped halfway through it would’ve been 5x more fire though.

I'm pretty bad at music but I think my opinion may still be valid.

I think my friend would really like this stuff. This reminds me of Silent Hill's music and I really like that.
This is good!
I'm around 2:35 for Cicatrices and yeah this is my favorite part
I had to skip through Foilage Ink and Utan Mening but from what I heard they were good
I bookmarked your page
I don't see the appeal of noise but this reminds me again of Silent Hill or survival horrors in general. I can see myself writing stories to this. Yeah this is making my veins pulse with fear of hell. I'm gonna bookmark this too.
Listening to It's About That Time. Got a unique voice and your lyrics and beat reminds me of 80s and 90s rappers. I think you're one of my favorite rappers.

Just listened to the last 4 things you put out.
To me, 'I Promise' sounded the most legit, the synth work
has a lot more energy and seems a bit smarter than the others. If you amp your beats up a bit, make them a bit slicker it would really hit hard.

Me:
This music is very chill. I like the calm tone of your voice. Reminds me of Mac Demarco.

Interesting mix of styles. The beats are tight and the other instruments accompany them beautifully.

Thanks for the feedback!

I love the slightly surreal vibes on the entire thing. Eden has to be my fav track, I'm a sucker for random introspective vocal samples.

Dude, this is awesome! It reminds me of the soundtrack to a cyberpunk film. Really polished and inventive.

Honestly, your stuff reminds me of a lot of indie folk. Very atmospheric. Well done!

You got great work overall. I can tell you are very good at mixing your music, I can hear every sound clearly in many of your songs. There is also a lot going on in your songs, which makes them very entertaining to listen to.

Me:
You got some great tracks. I like how chill they are and the production is great, specially on the beats. Overall great music!

Ah, I thought you meant like merzbow style scrap metal, springs and mangetic pickups kind of things, the word "acoustic" threw me off. Yes, I am very familiar with Max/MSP, I have actually made a few albums of varying quality using that (albeit in Max for Live for easier sequencing).

>your voice is great, now the song needs proper instrumentation. keep us updated!
I'm planning on buying a $50 keyboard since there's a music store nearby that sells them, they are smaller than other keyboards but I think that's actually a selling point since there's not much room for one. Sorry for the blog and thanks for your feedback. Now as to my feedback to you, you list a lot of genres but all I hear is a nice chill pop rock tune; maybe being less aware of the shoegaze genre you could really let go and add some big dick energy to your tune to make it even more hypomanic!
