As a fan of Logic, 100% agree. Save maybe 2 songs, this album was nothing but half baked ideas, ctrl c + ctrl v hooks, and some of the worst lyrics in the last decade. He really needs to take a creative break if he wants any chance at retaining what little hope he has left at being considered legitimate in hip hop.
The marketing behind the last three albums have just been atrocious. Had this been a Bobby Tarantino III and he decided to go full "fun trap," we would've at least got a half decent summer mixtape. Instead, we got some weird mutated version that tried to be "woke" but had absolutely no substance. Had YSIV had any named not associated with his mixtapes, it would've been better perceived by his general audience. Supermarket was a fiasco of another realm- while it wasn't amazing by any means it certainly wasn't as bad as it was made out to be- but because of the god awful surprise drop and lack of clarification that "this is a step into alt rock" a ton of people were blindsided.
Logic seems like a great guy, and he must have at least some shred of cunning/intellect apparent from his lyrics in the past. I don't get how he put something out like this and expected it to rollover well.
