It's definitely one of my top 3 albums. Cop Killer is overrated and Believer, Quantum Leap, ...And The Rain are the best tracks on the album by far.
I highly encourage anyone who likes John Maus to check out some videos of his live shows, never have I seen an artist put so much emotion into his music before.
Songs is good but def not his best by any stretch. I think the lack of humor is what makes this album so much more enjoyable. I mean look at Dumpster Baby off of Addendum, its almost cringey at that point.

He has probably the most interesting perspective in music right now, just watch any interview with him. It's a shame he gets bungled together with a lot of copycats and kitsch 80s nostalgia bands, but there's something about his music which goes far beyond superficial 'vaporwave' aesthetics
