I still don't get how hating Justin Bieber became the dominant meme of the late 00's.
He was just another inoffensive popstar, yet the internet wanted nothing more than to rabidly chew him apart.

meant to quote OP

Justin Timberlake
or

>WHEEEEREEEE ISSSS THEE LOOOOVEE

I dont think it was hating on actual justin but the projection of hating the fucking children fans who were so annoying and the radio repeating that fucking baby baby baby all day everyday

you obviously never listened to the kids voice you fag

2000-2010 is 11 years though.

He was an easy target for a lot of people in the same way that the Backstreet Boys and Mariah Carey were in the late 90s/early 00s

Crazy by Gnarls Barkley

Kayne Weast

eminem had a near monopoly on the 2000's

Fact. 2000 was the last year of the 90s. Should be 2001-2010.

>2000
>part of the 90's

nigger are you actually insane (should be 2000-2009)

usually I would dispute this retardation

but the 90s spiritually ended on 9/11

for me it's French House

This

Totally disagree- there was a YUGE feeling of change at the millennium, and some danger (y2k bug) which ended the 90s fittingly at 2000. The part of the 90's that 9/11 ended was the feeling of safety and supremacy at home in america

no you dumbass. you're thinking of centuries not decades

I did, it was pretty inoffensive.
Not even as bad as Little Romeo

This makes sense, but I don't even remember hearing about him that much. I remember the online hate more than anyone actually praising him.

thats true but a nitpick on what my point was

90s spiritually died with columbine and was buried woodstock 99. 2000s took off when lakers won nba finals that summer

Teen girls loved him
I was in 6th grade in 2009 I know

No

Nu-metal, pop punk, post-grunge, emo, crunk, ringtone rap, and pop music

Nah, that's late 90's dude. House music went out of mainstream by 2003.

Buttrock and numetal in the first half and bling rap in the second.

Black Eyed Peas
Gwen Stefani
Rihanna

Lil Wayne
Eminem
Akon
Usher

Sklipknot
Disturbed
Mudvayne
Korn
Anything with a 7-string chugging power chords

Incubus
RHCP
Nickelback
Linkin Park
Green Day (singles from American Idiot were omnipresent for ages)
Limp Bizkit

All popular for years with the youth of America. That said, there has never been less change in popular music between two decades than between the current decade and the previous and that is largely due to pic related and his continued tyranny.

Ariana Grande is his latest protege

jesus christ what a sickeningly bland career hes had

Max Martin and his Swedish lackeys have been churning out hits for pop stars since the 90s. He started with Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears and has been doing it non-stop ever since. He just did it again 2 weeks ago with that Sheeran/Bieber song that broke all he Spotify records. He has been dictating the parameters of pop music for over 20 years now.

>2000’s Emo
I don’t even want to

Well in rock, there was Tool. They released Lateralus and 10,000 Days in the 2000’s. Lateralus was surely a definitive album in 2001, and certainly one of the more highly rated albums from that year. 10,000 Days was a long awaited album that, according to some, disappointed but was still a huge record for rock music in the 00’s.

You're right

There isn't one?
