OFFICIAL WHO ALBUM POWER RANKINGS

Since Big Nose and Ponyboy are trying to make a resurgence of The Who happen, with the Jimmy fallon performance and the new tour, figured i might as well do this.

1. Who's Next
2. Live at Leeds
3. Quadrophenia
4. The Who Sell Out
5. The Who By Numbers
6. Who Are You (i prefer it over Tommy for the title track alone)
7. Tommy (too corny/campy for me)
8. My Generation
9. A Quick One
10. Face Dances

9000. It's Hard
9000000000000000001. Endless Wire

Switch 1 and 3 and it's perfect, but if Who's Next was a double album with all the other Lifehouse outtakes it would easily be their magnum opus.

I'm pretty sure they have a new album coming later this year.

>sell out that low

It's not as good as quadrophenia

Well it'll probably be meh like endless wire. Without the ox and keith moon they're rather powerless.

Remember when Who songs seemed to be in every other commercial? I love that song from the Volvo ad

Face Dances [Warner Bros., 1981]
Keith Moon's death seems to have relieved Pete Townshend of his obsession with mortality and the band he created. His new sex songs are stylish and passionate--the strongest he's written in a decade. Problem is, they sound forced coming from the aging pretty boy who mouths them. All of which is just a reminder that mortality catches up to pretty boys faster than the rest of us. B-

The Who is my favorite band and I rarely get to nerd out about them on here so;

1. Tommy (also my favorite album in general, but i can understnd people not enjoying the camp value of it)
2. Live at Leeds
3.Quadrophenia
4. The Who By Numbers
5. The Who Sell Out
6. Who’s Next
7. Who Are You
8. Face Dances
9. A Quick One
10. Endless Wire
11. It’s Hard

Not too disimilar from OPs list and I would also say that the bottom too both have great songs on them. Man In a Purple Dress has become one of my favoriites and Athena is an amazing pop tune

Quadrophenia
My Generation
Sell Out
Tommy
A Quick One
Who's Next
Who Are You
Who Cares

For me athena is the only good song on It's Hard along with Eminence Front. But I can't blame the band fully for it because the record company was like "Hey, write and record an album in four weeks to promote your new tour, or we're cancelling the tour." So it's impressive that they even managed to make 2 good songs in such a rushed process.

by the time paul was as old as the guys in the who were when they made it's hard he was making shit music too.

Anyone who thinks Quadrophenia isn't their best album is deaf

The Who is one of the worst rock bands of the 60s

The only one who was really worth a shit in the band as entwistle

Keith moon is way overrated and a junkie

Daltrey was a sub par vocalist and Pete townshed was a god awful guitarist. I don’t see how anyone outside of boomers can still unironically enjoy them.

Live at Leeds
The Who Sell Out
Tommy
Who's Next
Quadrophenia
My Generation
A Quick One
The Who By Numbers
Who Are You
Face Dances
It's Hard
Endless Wire

which of their songs are about child porn

almost all of them

>Daltrey was a sub par vocalist
motherfucker Love Reign O'er Me is the greatest vocal performance in music

cant believe I get to open up for the MOD GODS on their US tour shits mega m8s as you were LG x

calling keith moon overrated is the easiest way to signal to everyone that you're a brainlet.

Can you name me like two songs at least where Keith moons drumming was exceptional

nearly all of the tracks he played on.

BTFO

A Quick One is really underrated.

What does camp mean for an album

This. Like it more than Who Sell Out.

1. My Generation
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Everything else

>keith moon overrated
Listen to live at leeds and quadrophenia and tell me keith moon is overrated

Quads great too but I prefer Who's next. For me, the synths on Who's next sound cooler, the production is better (on Quad the production is kinda overly-sharp with the instruments mixed like power tools), and there's more of a variety in styles of WN while Quad sounds samey in places. But not saying I hate quad though, it's still good.

Most of their best songs weren't even released on regular albums.

literally a meme album. I can see for miles is the only worthwhile song on it
