Visions of the Country by Robbie Basho.
Brian Wilson could rest his balls in your mouth
brian wilson is a hack
ain't it funny honestly
my taste was a lot more limited back then though
brian wilson is NOT a hack he is a perfect being sent from heaven above to save the music industry ever since the beach boys released pet sounds. hes been an amazing man thats only ever brought happiness to the world and brought such wonderful pieces of music such as heroes and villains and good vibrations.
no where at all has he ever done anything to make himself be considered a "hack" because all hes done is smile and bring peace because of every song hes ever written. the one who deserves to be known as a hack is the obvious villain mike love since all hes done is ride off of brians success and bring down the beach boys since before pet sounds.
surf's up
strange melody
how they suffer
Good Vibrations, seriously.
Every time I listen to it it never gets old.
ziggomatic 17, which is probably the greatest piece of music ever created
this, i first listened to drukqs in high school and was literally blown away, i'd never heard anything like it
I loved metal, but I could never really get into post-punk. This album clicked so hard the first time I heard it. Now post-punk is my favorite genre.
>literally "wtf i love post punk now"
Big Star’s Kangaroo, honestly. I still have never heard anything quite like it. The only song that comes close to capturing that feeling is Ashes of American Flags.
Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop (yes)
Nico - Evening of Light
King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man
King Crimson - Elephant Talk
Television - Marquee Moon
Byrds - Eight Miles High
David Bowie - Teenage Wildlife
Blondie - Dreaming (the drumming)
PIL - Theme
Weezer - only in dreams
>teenage wildlife
My nigger
visions of johanna
The first time I heard DSCO I fucking lost it and sat there with my mouth open. I had never heard anything like this album before, and I still haven't.
Really? It's not THAT good jfc.
Behind That Locked Door - George Harrison
Echoes
>that angelic riff around the 19 minute mark
goosebumps man
this album is amazing a beautiful and I love it
this here is one of my favorite albums, i don't think i could have picked a better one
Moanin' by Charles Mingus
Scott Walker’s The Electrician
Fucking mind meltingly brilliant
stages 3, 4, and 6 in particular. 1 and 2 were just more Empty Bliss, and 5 was just more 4, but 3, 4, and 6 utterly wrecked me when they first came out. the ending of 6 still haunts me

This will sound gay but listening to Tom Jones for the first time
this
Nine Inch Nails - Mr. Self Destruct
Coil in general has astounded me in how much emotion conveyed and how far they were able to create and emulate extreme states of altered consciousness like no other musician has been able to do.

This bad boy
Dude he has been giving us... good vibrations this whole time
This blew my fuckin mind
this entire album. I've never heard anything so meticulously constructed, let alone from an indie darling band.
Before listening, I didn't believe that a perfect album with all inspired songs could exist. It marked the transition of me being a Yea Forumsdrone to listening to music I actually enjoy. I still think it's super underrated here though.
Sonic Youth - Teenage Riot
Richard Dawson's Nothing Important
holy FUCK
I got into music with pixies and many of their songs left me surprised. Their pre separation period is full of originality. Velouria in particular was insane.
This. It's so expensive.
I tried, ended up falling asleep, 4/10
Slint - Spiderland
Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition
Atrocity Exhibition is the only album that's made me laugh about how excited I was, every beat was so sick on the first listen.
Listened to Spiderland twice in a row the first time I heard it because it was the guitar sound/writing that I'd been waiting for.
That demo of hazey jane is my favorite think nick ever recorded actually. I’ve grown to appreciate the strings on his first two albums but I still can’t help but feel like the songs are so much better in solo acoustic demo form.
agree this album rules
mine is song cycle VDP is a master and this album is so fuckin good
Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground - Blind Willie Johnson
Changed my perception on the blues completely
all of my favorite music took a while for it to grow on me.
Are you experienced by Jimi Hendrix, Trout Mask Replica, Morbid Angel, Birelli Lagrene album. Smells like teen spirit,
This is pretty recent but
Amorphis - The Bee
Shit blew me away on the first serious listen
burial-untrue
robert hood-minimal nation
nas-illmatic
radiohead-kid a
This one astounded me as I had no idea how the band ever became so popular sounding this awful. I fully expected to love fleet foxes and ended up absolutely hating them.
>brian wilson is NOT a hack he is a perfect being sent from heaven
Well time to send him back. Dubs and he dies on Christmas before he gets the chance to open his presents
red sea by asobi seksu
