the only real way to do it, i think, is dryly memorizing. reciting notes of arpeggios, scales, etc, while playing. arranging standards, etc. i think its mostly a time thing. gotta work a little bit at it for it to come, but it does come if u give it time.

have a sheet of paper with strings + notes. practice a lot of 251 / 145 / general 51 stuff in multiple keys. make note of the tone # relative to the root or what have you when doing this

Single ended amps can have cascading gain stages. The gain stages are in the pre amp, single ended or push pull refer to the power amp. Single ended means the power amp uses a single stage to drive the output transformer.
