speaking from too many years of experience the main legal action that gets taken is the link gets taken down and your account gets banned. lawsuits, potentially international ones, are expensive and slow so just taking down links and banning repeatedly offending accounts is the go way of dealing with it.

i would recommend having no important files on your mega account tho, cause they just run 3 strikes and you're out. if you lose the account you lose it all.
