listening to Wilco rn, what tunes are you lads enjoying
I might
you should, the album in OP is my personal fave, hooky and tight instrumentation
Lets get this party started
archersofloaf.bandcamp.com
has all the bonus tracks, great bonus stuff for all albums
Also, this version of Revenge is the best, has more energy and a better hook in the instrumental section.
based, I wish more indie had the loaf energy, you can tell they're first and foremost a rock band
They got the energy
youtube.com
post high-energy indie rock jams ITT
"Density" is fucking 10/10
SO true.
GO LOAF!!
archersofloaf.bandcamp.com
This b-side is based as fuck too
Sounds like it's just going to be a "joke" song but then kicks in at earnest 0:50 in
They're playing May 25th in Texas, I hope they start recording a new album soon
chapel hill rocks
If Archers of Load are so good, why do people never talk about them past their 2nd album and why aren't they regarded the same way bands like Superchunk and Polvo?
Archers of Loaf are generally more beloved than Superchunk and Polvo
And No Pocky is the only Superchunk album consistently on 'best of" lists while Polvo is even more "obscure" than that.
someone posted about it in the Loaf thread last night, p4k redid their best albums of the 90s list in 2003 and removed all mention of them. also, plenty of good bands go overlooked
NO

These guys rock
>while Polvo is even more "obscure" than that.
What about a band like Bitch Magnet or Fuck?
I discovered something that might have to do with it.
In 1999 Pitchfork did their 100 best albums of the 90s.
Icky Mettle was 32.
For the 2003 version of the best 100 albums of the 90s, they removed the album entirely, because they had minuscule amounts of 90s hip hop on the 1999 list and they needed to sacrifice albums to make up for it on the 2003 list, and that was while pitchfork WAS the tastemaker in all of indie music.
So people beginning to dive into those 90s albums lists in the 00s and above and websites creating their own 90s lists completely ignored LOAF because they werent the cream of the crop anymore according to pfork.
That was me!
They almost did but not rea
Listened to this album today while packing my shit to move out of my college dorm
Chumming the Ocean got me emotional my /LOAF/ lads
>>They almost did but not rea
[citation needed]
They almost did, but not really, they did a show in New York and Madonna was there and wanted to sign them to her label, but they turned her down because she had shitty acts on it (including herself) and didnt want to associate with them (it wasnt about the money).
Who was on it, you ask?
>the water is red, red, red, red.
Bombs Away is a really good piano track as well.
Bachmann is a fan of Erik Satie
Really pretty stuff. I like how Loaf can be soft and sensitive but that that’s not their main thing. The energy is what I like about them
then he broke up the band and made low energy faggot crooked finger/solo acoustic shit
a real head scratching tragedy
hello /loaf/ friends, reminder to listen to Supreme Dicks.

whatchu know bout Knapsack... prolly nuthin
I would listen to them if their name wasn’t so awful.
Christgau also revised his review of Icky Mettle from A to A+.
It is a rare true 10/10.
