Pitchfork's idea of pop is r&b garbage or aggressive woke pop. Anything that oozes even the slightest bit of fun femininity is mediocre to them.

I thought it was great. I wouldn't put it at the same level of Emotion or even Emotion Side B, but I thoroughly enjoyed listening and will probably listen to it again.
Automatically in Love is the fucking SHIT. It kinda tapers off at the end with For Sure and Party of One being my least favorites

tbf, everyone saying that this album isn't as good as emotion should wait a little bit. I agree nothing stands out immediately like in emotion but honestly, one of the first signs that emotion was going to gain that status it did was how no one could agree which song was the best.

Looks like that same pattern is happening again. Can only think most of us will find us playing this album on repeat for months to come.
