Screamy songs?

Is there any songs with screamy parts? Preferably when they sound like they are in pain or distressed like in deftones - be quiet and drive (far away) song.

A lot of other Deftones songs do this, and in my opinion the self titled album has the best. Hexagram has a couple screams where Chino’s voice breaks, Bloody Cape’s ending is filled with a ton of blood curdling “God help me” screams, When Girls Telephone Boys is screaming throughout.
So check that stuff out
At the Drive-In also has some good stuff like that, like at the end of Invalid Litter Dept, or all throughout Mannequin Republic. If you want to go earlier, try the song Ticklish

no, there are no songs with screamy parts. nobody writes songs like that you goof

The end of Arcarsenal have some good screams too, Climbing Up the Walls by Radiohead (considering that his music doesn't usually have screams or any heavy elements), Mr Jack by SOAD, Search & Destroy by The Stooges.

Deftones have really satisfying screams holy shit...

There are whole genres dedicated to sounding like this

*their, i'm retarded.

They forgot to mention the best one tho.

Imagine being on Yea Forums and not knowing about them.

The trick is that he’s 100% passion, 0% technique. He screams with more feeling than anyone else but he destroys his voice while doing it. Chino’s voice is pretty much gone now.

listen to the At the Drive in album from like 2001, the one with the successfull single One Armed Scissor, they could have saved rock if they hadnt decided to create The Mars Volta

Black Flag - My War

Yes exactly!!! Like i know screamo exists i am not a dumbass but it just sounds whiney... I need fucking passion

You'd really like Post-Hardcore as a genre. Check out:

>La Dispute
>Defeater
>Touche Amore
>Slint
>Unwound
>At The Drive-In
>Drive Like Jehu

Literally entire genres for this. Listen to this guy belt about his dad dying, you'd really like it

And then this guy contemplate a shooting gone wrong

I'm a lot like you. I love harsh vocals, but I want them to be passionate. Give these bands a listen. This entire album is about the lead singer's mom passing due to cancer:

These guys have been putting out concept albums about the same family since their inception. This one is about the younger son killing his father with a bottle of jack daniels

This is based on The Rime of the Anciet Mariner

Literally you just need to delve into GOOD Post-Hardcore. 90% of them aren't screaming right and are destroying their voice, but it sounds damn good.

>Forgetting Post-Hardcore kino

Some intense screams at the end of this one

Fake History album by letlive is pretty good. They dropped quality after that album though

"Frankie Teardrop" by Suicide is prime screamy material.

Alexisonfire - Accidents (whole album)
Aiden - Nightmare Anatomy (whole album)
Botch - We Are The Romans (whole album)
A Skylit Drive - Wires...And The Concept of Breathing (whole album)

What are some screamy songs that aren't metal or punk?

One of the best Emo songs ever made imo

good
Frankie Teardrop is the dumbest fucking song I've ever heard. Suicide is winco Throbbing Gristle for faggots.
Sounds pretty fucking gay.
Neat.
Please never reproduce, it should be a war crime to inflict such poor taste on the gene-pool
Unwound and ATDI are pretty meh, Drive Like Jehu has some good moments, all those other bands are trash. Most post hardcore is just pussies crying for attention.
The Swinging Man is a better song.
See my comment about Suicide

good comment ir ead the hole thing

I know you can't read you fucking retard.
