It's a great album but it definitely is a "scene" album. Devil and God was fucking huge to scene kids back in 06 and everyone besides Yea Forums who still likes this album are just previous 2003-2007 scene kids.

I was a gay emo kid when this came out but a lot of my friends just blew this album off because of how different it was from your basic fall out boy or taking back Sunday. It definitely supersedes that genre
I guess. I went to some of their last tours and their crowd is nothing like any other Yea Forumscore band. Their fans arent onions hipsters at all. They're all just normal white late 20 year olds who even dress and act normal as fuck. It was the most normal crowd I've ever been in at a concert. And then you start to wonder how they got such normal fans that arent even big into modern indie music and then you realize they were all the cringe early 2000s emo kids from way back that grew up but still love brand new.
