it really is. i roll out of bed, stumble into my office and im at work. when im done i get up and walk out of my office and im home. no commute, no having to wear pants, getting to wear diapers whenever i want. its fantastic.

Best thing you can do is pick a language and go with it. I usually try to pick up related books on Humble Bundle when they have them. Pick something you are passionate about and turn it into an application. Just keep making it better as you learn things that work and what doesn't work well.
Also, something I do for fun is to try and automate every repetitive task you do. Find a way to use your chosen language to do things on your computer.
