I live in Mexico City, almost all local scenes are shit, just a dickriding fest of whatevers trending in US or recap of 80’s and 90’s shit. The music at parties is ok once you get drunk enough to not give a fuck about it. The thing is, from my point of view, no one cares if you come with something whether is a new thing or not, they just want whatever reassemble something you’ve previously heard, at least that on the local scenes. But there’s a lot of following for foreign shit
