i think the content on ummagumma, wish you were here, and atom heart mother is strong but i prefer their more radical work because by nature it reveals more detail and deepens the emotional impact with continued listening. ummagumma is my favorite from their post-Syd work but i can see why one might find that era more direct, as Piper and Saucerful might seem oblique at first.
