"turn purple" is beautiful has a hazy summery vibe that reminds me of the chillwave sounds 2009 - 2011

I think you hit the mark with "Good Luck With That". It reminds me a little of Bob Mould's solo work. Couldn't help but notice Lil Peep in your liked tracks, that's unfortunate

I'm about to hit babby's first 100 followers! Writing a new track this week that's going to be a bit more relaxed to add some more sonic variety. soundcloud.com/b-rad-94 >alternative rock >punk >hard rock >post-hardcoreish? >garage
>m.soundcloud.com/user-955768391 I like your voice, as well as the rythm to it I feel like a bit more variation could do on the guitar on your last track, overall I like your style, a bit of work on mastering would b dope too.
Thanks for the critique, I'm definitely going to remix a lot of these songs in the future since a lot of it is kind of cut and dry. but I really want to get my songs out there and try to get like a demo album going

what happened to the rave/breakbeat hardcore/breaks guy that use to post here had a purple (?) logo or covers name might have started with a q his stuff sounded really authentic
This entire set of songs was completely improvised. The driving concept behind this project is to gather a large amount of people with radically different tastes in music and levels of skill and see what happens. We also swap our instruments. So far there's only three of us, and the biggest influences at play here are noise rock, pop punk, and indie.
Im making an album is based on the original Spiderman video game for PS1. Here is my second promotional single. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks.
this is pretty damn nice. heavy lil peep vibes. love the guitar melody you've got going. fuck man this is soooooo good. real smooth track. Love the lyrics, the line "people call me faggot cuz I wear pink" is boardline cheesy it works. banger of a track, god damn dude !
I dig your guitar playing my guy I googled the spiderman soundtrack for comparisson but I couldn't find the track. overall I like your technique. I just think the quality of the samples brings a lot of noise to your track, maybe some noise reduction. EQ to the original samples would work.
cool idea, and i like the timing of the sound clips with the music fading in and out, but i don't feel much connection between the music and the voices. this idea could work really well if the guitar riffs were kind of playing off the happenings of the scene
rec these muchly listened to "no automation". this feels like menu music for a dating sim. i thought that feeling might pass as the track went on, but it didn't really. that isn't necessarily bad, i actually really liked the song. the general sound of it is pleasant, but it's all a little aimless imo
Listened to the first three songs on your bandcamp album and my fucking god this is one of the best things I've found in a sharethread in a long time. Its rate to find folk in that style much anymore. Are all the instruments acoustic? No plug ins. Either way Highly recommend
This is legitimately one of the best things I've listened to on a sharethread in a long time. Are you playing every instrument on this? No plug ins? It's really good.
>this feels like menu music for a dating sim. thanks for the listen and critique and yep, menu music is the sound i'm going for with this project. i love the varied instrumentation in your music, currently listening.
Recording guitar on new EP next couple weeks. Set to blow this stale shit out of the water. Stoner rock and roll. Simple math. AustraliA. chiplodocus.bandcamp.com

Either way Highly recommend yes, i played the whole album acoustic except for the piano on "dandy's walk-in" because i don't have a piano, and of course various reverb effects and stuff. thanks a ton, i'm glad you like it! i listened to your track "the log cabin", excellent ambiance. can't think of much to say about it but i enjoyed it a lot. it's impressive that you managed to work on one project for so long, i usually have to finish my stuff quickly before i lose interest. very cool concept

I think actually found this before you posted on here lmao. it's incredible, really. if anything I think the vocals are a bit low in the mix sometimes
I loved the vocals on gravis and the overall heaviness, but vocals at times were a bit too loud in the mix. the leads at the beginning of hotdog were too quiet and for some reasons I just really didn't love the vocals until "the whole world, it might as well, be sitting on a turtle shell." and then really loved the "I dug and I dug" bit. I didn't really love dimmest arsonist, but had a great vocal performance. I really didn't like the intro for dimmest arsonist. for fry the vocals were too low in the mix for part and too distorted for my taste, though that's just preference. I didn't like the guitar tone in the intro for bright brown, the synth at first sounded a bit out of place and later on it sounded fitting. the ratcheting sample and the drum machine were way too hot in the mix for me. really solid stuff though! most of the issues I had were in the mix.
this isn't criticism, but oh my god giving you a follow because you're good as fuck.
Thanks my man. Chiplodocus representing. Neither of us are producers, obviously. Once the dough starts rolling in, (any day now) we are thinking of calling up Albini. Awesome feedback, you a legend. I'll check ur stuff now.
Alexander Rodriguez
getting albini to produce your shit would be amazing. would sound so good.

Motherfucker, your lead player is radical. This is like smashing pumpkins with balls. Dig it. Nice aesthetics too.
... me.
Anthony White
3 songs there sit well together man. Showing some variety.
I'm the lead player, rhythm player, bass player, and vocalist. I played synth on the third song too. but thank you lmao
Ian Nelson
thanks, that was the idea of the three tracks. I want to send this to some labels or maybe even self release if I get no label interest, so I thought of a few tracks that I thought would show the diversity in my stuff.
I made an album that I'm not very happy with but I'm also very happy with and I'm sorry if I'm bothering anyone my head kind of hurts.
Sorry if I sound strange, I'm a nervous person
I said your voice was warm but I rec you, reminds me of a time more simple. After I get back home I'm gonna sit down and listen to the whole album. I liked what I heard so far and also the idea of a bunch of woodland folk jammin out on their woodland instruments makes me happy. I wanna be like you. Reminds me of the past, 80s. Was that the intent? I like it
here are a few links of some songs i'm working on. ive been putting a lot of focus in my production and a lot less in promotion, but i think its time people start to hear what i can make. i want people to appreciate my art.
the vocals remind me of JMann from Mushroomhead. Listened to Occulture and liked it despite it not being a fan of industrial.
Landon Kelly
I feel like you could take some of the distortion to the next level. Maybe try experimenting with nosier genres. Also your lyrical phrasing is kinda odd. Maybe try and make less wordy lyrics to go better with singing
Eli King
I definitely like some of your heavier stuff, real potential here. Your vocals are buried in the mix unfortunately, it feels intentional but it’s still to much. Id recommend freshening up your mixing chops
Colton Bailey
well, the verse was at 125bpm tempo, but the change was too jarring so I put it down to 85 with the chorus. though I actually like the verse vocals. the chorus im not too fond of, I got tired of rerecording them so I just kept it in its off beat state.
If I redid it I would go for my original plan of having a dull droning singing instead of black metal scream stuff. I had a vocal melody ready, but wanted to play with some vocal effects.
Some songs are boring, and really repetitive. Others feel more constructed and well written. Some of the drum loops are nauseating at times. Try and focus more on quality vs quantity
>After I get back home I'm gonna sit down and listen to the whole album. I liked what I heard so far and also the idea of a bunch of woodland folk jammin out on their woodland instruments makes me happy. I wanna be like you. thanks a ton, i'm flattered. listened to your song "worshipped earth". i think this is a really cool idea, the songwriting is there even. i think if you just gave it a little more time to practice the vocals, they sound a lot like a demo someone recorded right before going to sleep so they don't forget how the song goes. some moments are kind of weak, mostly the vocals not lining up with the guitar. i do like the vibe of this a lot though. keep working at it, don't necessarily worry about doubling back and redoing things. i've had times when i just released an album and already i'm thinking "i should have cut that song" or "i should have rerecorded that part" etc, but i just forge ahead and make the next thing instead of dwelling on it. anyways, i like what you're doing, keep at it
