laziest reccs i'll ever do in my life:
really relaxing vocal, great harmonies
would like this if i could but it's private
insane drumming, i hope this was recorded live it's super impressive
effects and production is like whiplash after getting t boned by a truck, super cool
scam is super dedicated to these threads and makes great psych with tapping guitar harmonies and it's really pretty check her out
clairo-esque vocals, really relaxed instrumental, I just wish there was more going on. The vocal really is fantastic though, the melody, the harmonies, i'll definitely follow to see what else you come out with

>electronic, ambient, pop, weightless at points, trip-hop and IDM elements
just released two new things yesterday
Is this a joke?
wait woah scam the editing in this video is really cool, I love the shots of nature peeking through the grungy and kinda gross-looking paint and all that. It's like a contrast between nature and all the dirtier things in life, at least to me. *snap* "woo!"
2:49 is my favorite shot by far, it looks like some of the flowers are really growing out of the table.
ty too my man. exit/enter is really cool

the execution of his ideas isn't the cleanest but the energy he's putting in is infectious.
@pool view, honestly, you gotta produce this louder and more grimy. The instrumental isn't aggressive enough or quite loud enough. keep yelling though, i sincerely sincerely love it.

RECS:
Acapella part broke me. Great fucking track.
interesting stuff. i like the mystical sort of intro, and the dancey dubstep stuff isn't obnoxious or anything. i enjoyed this a lot, and it's far from being my genre.
this rules, see other thread
listened to "new car smell". vocals aren't as bad as i've heard before in these threads, but they can use some work. the screaming stuff is better than the rap sections. i think you're in this weird spot where i can't tell if you want to rap or sing the lyrics, and your tone isn't quite there for either direction. it's a good start, and that you're actually screaming shows me that you're putting good effort into the vocals. something i've learned from singing a lot and seeing other people who are new to singing is that you kind of need to do a voice, not just your own voice, but modulate a little to find a singing voice separate from your speaking voice. good start
i can tell immediately that this is solid as hell. the instrumentals are great, super pro sounding. i think the vocal mix could use some attention though. they sound very separate from the instrumentals. the performance itself is great, but try mixing them into the track without any effects, then add the reverb stuff, then take another look at the EQ. at a glance it seems like the main vocal track could be lowered, and its reverb made less apparent. otherwise really good stuff.

I haven't seen podge on these boards in a while, I think he got a record deal or something right? anyways, great track! Like mentioned, the vocals aren't mixed the best. And your vocals aren't the problem, because on left out? you sound fantastic. just gotta blend a bit more
or just blame podge i dunno :P
here, hi
The instrumentation on this is wonderful, I'm always a fan of hearing more orchestral stuff here. The production is super clean and simple, perfect for what it is. I love the little blurb for the album too, you're really creating a scene, setting, and atmosphere here and it's really cheery. The first track was just a little unsettling (although still cheery at the same time) but once I was able to put myself on the log bench for the second song I was comfy there. Your vocals are wonderful too, super well layered, diverse, and creative. great job. did you make the album cover, too? This is a complete package, I wish more people had seen this.
huge recommendation to check this out just for the sheer quality AND obvious effort (although of course there's more to it).
thank you! i'm very happy with your impression of the first two songs. in my mind the first track is like the showtunes-y intro, and the next song is the first proper conceptual song. and yes i made the cover, i figured if i'm going to steal the concept from sgt. peppers i might as well steal the cover too. thanks for the rec!
Pool View here, thank you for your advice on the vocals, that’s one of the most helpful things I’ve ever heard, I know exactly what you mean. Will work on that.

thanks! just listened to colorado, really cool effects on the vocals, i think a little more attention could be given to finding a "singing voice" like i said to someone else itt. really good production and songwriting though, it definitely stays interesting the whole way through
That's a good thing, we would all prefer someone who just posts like a normal person than to some asshole like dubbi who thinks we need help with our music.
That's better than berating everyone like Dubbi.

Something about this makes me feel really tense, but I can't put my finger on it. I think the section just after 2:40 is my favorite. Some of the higher pitched synths sounded a bit cutting on my speakers (I'm just listening on crap speakers rn though so could be that)
Smooth track. Not particularly my style but it sounds good. I could imagine this bumping on a college campus

Very Venetian Snares-like without sounding at all like a ripoff. Good Harsh Electronic/Triphop
Very talented guitarist! comfy vibes and chill ambience, made me think wistful things.
Really unique pop rock with good production and great vocalist.
I have a soft spot for house music, especially progressive and this fulfills my craving for some that doesn't NOT progress if you know what I mean.
Neat remix of a bm classic. Good work, user.
