Well im a big fan of Super Mario 3 so I dont know if I can say I hate recycled monsters.
Any game of quality needs secrets. SM3 made me very aware of that.

Chrono Cross is good too. Nice cutscenes, fight system, characters, look, plot, and music.
Fuck that one future city place though.

Legend of Dragoon would have been so much better were it not for the combat system demanding you do those combos and stare at swirling squares. I had to equip everyone with items to bypass that.

I enjoyed the Sex Kitten Sim series.
Things made by RoninSong and Klacid (on newgrounds) are my taste.
I like the surreal and funny. I dont mind lewd either. The attempt to do realism in games is the opposite direction of what should be done in my opinion.
