that sounds nice! you could probbaly at least ask to see if they start up properly. a lot of the older systems are pretty decent to repair too. outside of gamestop, it looks like everything here is board/tabletop games. I don't play them too often, so unless I get into figure painting I'm out of luck.

I usually still lurk and I've seen you've had a bit more time for video games and such like lately. I hope your schedule is relaxing a little. In regards to Blame! it is very uniquely visual. It's a very quick read since there's little text. Maybe you would even be interested in making some of your wallpapers off of some of the art. It's very striking, the backgrounds. That's why you read it, not the characters or plot. I've only read two Nihei works myself, but I think Blame! is worth checking out. Still mean to get around to Biomega someday.

I was surprised when I saw that he wrote Blame! before Abara. I thought for sure that Abara was an earlier, more amateur work. I think it's because Abara has a much clearer - although still muddied plot - than Blame! which has much less plot to begin with. And since the art is on a grander scale in Blame! than Abara, I just figured that was natural progression.
Well, I know Nihei fans are really dedicated, but he didn't really capture my attention personally. It's actually been a long time since I read any manga. I've hardly read anything this year. I've been watching a lot more anime.
Of the two, Blame! is much better than Abara, so keep that in mind.
I'm still confused why that Tony Hawk mod has its own dedicated Wikipedia page.

I'm glad to hear it's better. Abara was... not my thing, honestly. visually it was stunning, but that's the main nice thing I can say. painful isn't the right word for how muddled the plot was, but it certainly wasn't the most pleasant.

Well, you'll probably say the same thing after Blame! But it'll be a better version of the review you just gave to Abara. I'm still not sure what "your thing" is. I still remember being shocked when you mentioned Gantz was on your list.
