i listened to this album for the first time this week. easily one of my least favorite albums ever. there are artful ways to use repetition in music, but this just comes across as lazy, particularly with the SAME sonic palette between tracks

pleb = filtered

>album is shit and rushed
>w-we wanted to record music for us

it's their worse output but it's still pretty good
plus we got some awesome remixes out of it on Alive 2007 so

they wanted out of their contract

They got lucky when they somehow managed to capture lightning in a bottle with Homework and Discovery.

Alive 2007 kind of redeems HAA though.

pretty comfy album desu

>2 albums 4 years apart
>2 different genres of electronic
>lightning in a bottle
that's not how it works, they were insanely good at making dance tracks
they just phoned it in fast and hard for HAA

Why wasn't RAM good then?

Because it WAS good.

i don't much care for it, but it's certainly a great deal better than HAA

I enjoy certain songs out of this album. My favorites are Human After All, Prime Time of Your Life, TV Rules the Nation. Robot Rock, Brainwasher, and Technologic are passable due to their Alive 2007 remixes

What? It’s because they attempted to write and record this album in a month.... that’s why it’s so repetitive. If they had taken their time I probably would’ve been just has good as their other albums.

I love the title track, the rest of the album is just alright

One of music's biggest plenty filter albums. I will block everyone on RYM who gave this album lower than a 3.5

listen to the original song they sampled on robot rock, those lazy fucks didn’t make any changes other than the “robot rock” vocoder lines lol
good song still

yeah I know I like that better than robot rock, they made it too repetitive

steam machine is a banger

what is the best daft punk song lads?

for me, it’s crescendolls {pleb, I know}

harder better faster stronger

might be best song of the decade

HBFS is the only song to ever be improved by the realization that it's a lazy sample. When you realize the song is basically just a long vocoder solo, it takes it's place as one of the best solos on any instrument in music history.

you are 100% right it really is phenomenal

Human After All / Together / One More Time / Music Sounds Better with You from Alive 2007. It sounds like the culmination of their entire career.

patrician selection

HAA isn't that bad. probably the weakest studio album by daft punk (I'd have to relisten to homework though, remember not particularly liking that one) but people treat it like it's a cancer or something. its biggest faults are that it couldn't live up to the juggernaut that is Discovery and it got remixed alongside the it and Homework in Alive 2007 just a year later for one of the best live albums out there. A 6.5 sandwiched between two 10's is gonna look a hell of a lot more like a 3 no matter what.

Either HBFS, Face to Face or Something About Us depending on my mood that day.
shoutouts to Instant Crush though

that is probably their absolute best song. Fucking glorious tribute to french house

Voyager or Fragments of Time

Will they ever do another Alive tour lads? I

Phoenix or Superheroes if not including remixes

also this is the most correct

>What did they mean by this?
OH YEAH

GREEN LIZARDS

alive 2007 is their best album

This song is utterly patrician.

Digital Love

my top 3 are
1. DIGITAL LOVE
2. Voyager
3. Contact

it's a tie between Touch and Giorgio By Moroder

Digital Love

This one would have been so much better by just rearranging the tracklist.

I loved the review that basically called it autism.

It was good. You just don't like disco that much.

Master race, Digital Love and Voyager are timeless classics.

GREAT TIER
>Digital Love
>Face to Face
>Giorgio by Moroder
>Lose Yourself to Dance
>Revolution 909
>Something About Us
>Veridis Quo

GOOD TIER
>Aerodynamic
>Alive
>Around the World
>Da Funk
>Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

OK TIER
