The Black Angels in general.
I can't believe it's talked about so little. Chino Moreno on vocals, Zach Hill on drums, it's fantastic. Super comfy album.
Current favorite album of the decade. Noise trap should be so much more of a thing
Fuck I did not at all remember Zach Hill was in Team Sleep
I don’t remember much about it and it probably isn’t a masterpiece but that album probably is underrated
I mean it's relatively new so I kinda get it, but it's still some of the best punk I've ever heard.
I personally feel that it is, indeed, a masterpiece. We can agree to disagree.
Like a world music sampler on DMT.
Is it though? I feel like DMT music would be incomprehensible microtonal buzzing with voices speaking in non-tongues that you hear through what you feel when your pineal gland vibrates.
nice b8
anyone who's listened to more than 5 shoegaze albums would regard that as a classic
It should be on the same level as Souvlaki or Loveless, nothing less
eh most would disagree. I'd put lily's up there before theresa
I don’t know about CLASSIC, but criminally overlooked
To be fair that’s an essential album I’ve still neglected
On that note though another good overlooked shoegaze album is the first Medicine album
I listened to that a ton for a period in like 2015 and then I like dropped it like completely, I’m not sure why. I’m not diminishing it, but it’s somewhat hard for me to be about it when I realize like that one song is entirely just a loop from that Les Rallizes Dénudés song
listen to the essentials before you make conclusions like so, not trying to be condescending, its for your own good

faggot
already a classic
this isn't your thread. sorry. just fuck off
seriously
YES.
Fuck man I used to listen to "The Day After I Never Met You" on repeat in high school when this came out. Seriously underrated band and label.
thymme jones is a genius. wish the band got more love, they definitely deserve it. thymme delivered pizza's on the side all throughout the 90's just to scrape by, poor bastard
What is this? Reverse image pulls up nothing
David Garland - Verdancy
davidgarland.bandcamp.com
I looked it up on the archive yesterday and it only had about four mentions. If you like 12-string reverberations and chamber folk, then this will be an evening very well spent.
Other things that people should absolutely shit their pants over:
Art Bears - Winter Songs
The Flaming Lips - Telepathic Surgery (CD Version)
Lisa Germano's entire 90's discography
Ali Akbar Khan - Morning and Evening Ragas
Steve Roach that isn't Structures From Silence
Jane Siberry - The Walking (Kate Bush irrevocably BTFO)
Lycia - The Burning Circle and Then Dust
Camper Van Beethoven - s/t
Don Bradshaw-Leather - Distance Between Us
Tim Berne - Fractured Fairy Tales
Tyshawn Sorey - Pillars
Dave Douglas - In Our Lifetime
Steroid Maximus - Quilombo!
Destroy All Monsters - 1974-1976
good post
Good choice user
