This inspired Pet Sounds.

not really. outside of 3 or 4 cult acts that only 70 year old record store clerks would know about the VU weren't really influential until the 70s

not in sound but in scope and balahaaaaaaa i'm too lazy to complete this goodnight im going to bed

No, stay awake.

but im really tired and i have a big day tomorrow

Okay, go to sleep.
Goodnight.

>pet sounds

>all these posts
>not a single mention of TMR

TMR is not highly influential

yeah, i fucking love TMR but its influence is either indirect towards other cool artists (residents, early devo, etc. crowd in the 70s and 80s) or direct towards complete fucking nerds (all the scaruffi-approved avant-prog acts that occasionally have popped up more and more in the past 20 years)

>the most overrated rock album of all time
>the most overrated pop album of all time
>the most overrated jazz album of all time

yeah ok buddy

Yeah, but Rubber Soul influenced Pet Sounds.
