I don't know how expensive they were but we arent able to get any samples. I think they marketed them for aircraft hangars at first but I put them in a few High School Gyms and a Middle School Gym and the middle school still wanted a wire guard for the fixtures. see the old lights needed a wire guard cage to protect the glass lens and glass lamps from the basketballs and volley.

I think I was able to talk a different school out of it.
a lot of times you get the maintenance guys in these schools and they want what they are used to so sometimes they ask for things they don't need and are over kill. or they needed it one time so now everything new should get built with that extra something

this actually does get into a real subject.
so public schools are paying more money to remodel and build new schools, especially in the well-to-do neighborhoods because now they are competing with charter schools which are a big thing around where I am
so I am seeing some fancy stuff going into these public schools. and since I also do some charter schools I ironically see some super cheap stuff go into them. I think the perception (and maybe the truth somewhat) is that the charter schools are offering a better experience and are not just babysitting the children or teaching the children stuff that the parents disagree with. a lot of charter schools I am seeing are focusing on the STEM subjects.
but there are probably arguments from both sides.
I have two guys in my office that works on these same PUBLIC and CHARTER schools as I do and they both ironically have their wives stay home and home-school their children.
