Kids ESPECIALLY for introductory courses should NOT be taught the exceptions rather than the rules. For example, the purpose of our reproductive organs is to reproduce hence they should be prioritized education between a man and a woman. Sexual feelings, identity, and typically complex human behaviors rest ON TOP of these foundational principles and thus should be (at the very least) postponed far away from sex 101.

Teach them rules not exceptions. It's like teaching Biology 101 and beginning by saying "Humans have 2 hands and some people have 3".
