Deflorate, Unhollowed, and even Miasma are all obviously way better. Anything after Deflorate is clown shoes. Deflorate is definitely the most technical, and most evolved.

Uhh, the level of complexity in both dynamic song architecture as well as metal music complexity definitely flatlined. It felt like they were trying to repackage the band for a new audience who had never heard them before on every subsequent album. Also, I meant that melodic metal is true metal, as opposed to metalcore.
Essentially being Emo-screamo punk metal with breakdowns is homo. The clean vocals are homo. Hatebreed breakdowns are generally homo.

Possessed - Seven Churches is the least poser metal album ever made. Listen to early Slayer and avoid the Slayer albums from 1998 and 2001. If you haven't listened to every Death album, you should.

For melodeath, listen to Intestinal Baalism, and Dungeon Serpent. Do not listen to Insomnium or Be'lakor, they are gay. Amon Amarth is very casual and hit and miss. Some of it is very gay.
