Unfortunately I'm awake and this thread is still up, so don't know if you'll see this. New York Hardcore was a lot more rough around the edges compared to scenes in like DC and Cali, and incorporated a lot of thrash influence while distancing itself from guitar solos and other stylistic choices, focusing more on fast rhythmic pace that anyone could mosh to. It's also very heavily political and features bands that were on both sides of the aisle, since it grew a lot from Oi!. Fascist and non-fascist skinheads alike.
