Wait for his texas album. 3rd state album....... you heard it here first.

carrie and lowell is shit

loved this album
would love another states album
Illinois and Michigan will probably always be my favorites though.

can't wait for whatever he puts out

carrie and lowell is the third one its themed around oregon just as much as Michigan and Illinois are themed around those states its just not titled Oregon

I feel like he'd make a cozy as fuck Minnesota album.

No no no no no nooooo I want him to make a Florida album NOOOOOOOOOOW

we get it user youre a tough guy

Want maine but texas would be great too

really hoping he does maryland next

The only sufjan album I like. I could listen to C&L all day long, so soothing. The mixing couldn't be more perfect imo.

michigan is comfy as FUCK

Not sure how Sufjan can make a whole album about guns and obesity

Perfect album to listen to on a snowy winter day.

But user, he'd already surpassed it a decade before its release!

are you serious? it just came out

He's not wrong, the production on that album fucking sucks and ruins almost every song, Death with Dignity and Fourth of July are probably the only exceptions.
The arrangements on the live album managed to make every song sound ten times better.
I can kind of understand where he's coming from even if that's a shitpost, the later half of this decade feels like it's moving faster than usual.

New York double albums split between the city (more experimental electronic age of adze big songs) and upstate (more skeletal short sad sweet Carrie and Lowell songs) now
