I absolutely adore Sister, but putting Evol ahead of Washing Machine seems criminal to me.
I think the writers at pitchfork romanticize their old sound a little bit too much and Sonic Youth didn't figure out how to balance their noise passages within convention song structure until they had a few released under their belt.
