Jesus Christ, this album is the epitome of cringe.
How the fuck is it considered Judas Priest's best work? Most of their 70s and 80s discography is miles better.

Wasn't Stained Class considered their magnum opus?

every judas priest album is cringe

Fucking based. Priest is one of my all time favorite bands, I fuking hate this album.
But most of all I hate the endless praise it gets on this weak excuse of a music forum.

I see you Christgau.

Screaming for Vengeance is their best

It came across as a bit of a desperation move because thrash metal was making their washed up 40 year old asses look bad.

>if I don't like the style it must be shit

I thought Screaming For Vengeance and British Steel were considered their best.

I only like their album covers.

hell bent for leather

Half the album is filler, but Freewheel Burning is a killer jam. It does also really capture that mid-80s period when they were manic coke-fueled rock stars.

Great production though, probably one of their best-sounding albums.

1984 was a really good year in general for production.

86 not so much. Albums sounded plastic as fuck.

>How the fuck is it considered Judas Priest's best work?
straight bangers, no filler

turbo doesn't sound like plastic, though.

Um, yes it does. It has that terribly slick, synthetic mid-80s sound.

still undeniably priest

Sad Wings of Destiny is their only good album

daily reminder that Jugulator is underrated as hell, and should be in the Top 5 albums of JP
