I'm not sure what the rules for being outnumbered are but in the last system I played the DC would increase by ~0.5 for every active opponent you are being outnumbered by, this could easily render the task impossible
I'd imagine the best thing to do against invincible high level characters would be to generate three characters of the same level and with the same amount of magic items and use them as invincible antagonists.

Is it practical at all? No, but it's extra funny because warlock hexblade can crit on a 19 or 20, and paladins can give you advantage against a target.
Characters are never really invincible.

He talked about fireball as soon as possible, I assume that means initiative has been rolled. Talking to your group in short sentences or gestures isn't an action, neither is yelling at your opponent to stop or surrender but trying to convince a character to do something would be an action under the rules. 5e PHB p.193 "improvising an action". Persuading the planet to go out with him would definitely cost him his action.

I'd like to play a min-maxed padlock for the memes of it tbh. It'd feel good to blow all my resources on one move to kill one guy, but like, make him extra extra dead. Plus, it's actually possible to RP now since paladins aren't always good anymore.

I took the stats from the last character I generated, a level 1 cleric. They have 1 CHA, apologies if that's the wrong attribute. +2 since I'm proficient.
I have 3 base, assuming the bardic D12 Anzufag blessed shows a 12, I need to roll 15 or above on the D20 to win. That's 6 good numbers on the D20, and a 6/20 chance, more than 25%.
Since I assumed I already rolled a 12 on the bardic die, the flat chance is 6/20 * 1/12 = 1/40 = 2.5%.
But now that I think about it, there's also good numbers when I roll 11, 10, 9, 8, 7 on the bardic die. This would increase the chance further, to about 8.75%.
However, I agree with your impression, since my stats are so low, I expected it to be impossible. I'm interested now, I'll statistically check this using a website, a pen and a piece of paper with a table on it.
I would fireball out of embarassment. The character I eyeballed the stats from doesn't know fireball.

I have only played a little bit of DnD, when I saw the bardic inspiration die rule, I thought it was pretty powerful. My secret is that I'm not a level 1 cleric in real life.
I don't care about damage, I want to be a wizard and make cool portals and skeletons and have the DM tell me how there is now a cool portal or skeleton roaming this fictional world because of me. I also want a magic sword, I like when it says "+1" next to an item feels so nice

My favorite activity during mastering dungeons is having to roleplay as NPCs that are being flirted with by my friends, because then I get to feel psychological pain.
I agree that they shouldn't, but I grew up feeling like I need to get a relationship as soon as possible or be a loser, but simultaneously only ever felt scared around any potential interests because of the judgement of my peers.
I never knew that you can like someone so strong you don't feel bad about wanting to hold their hand, I never knew how much safety and mental rest a kiss can bring.
It always felt alien and weird with others, but I've liked spending time alone with the Earth or with many people in the World since early childhood. When I think about my waifu, it feels like I fell in love with my best friend since before kindergarten, and Earth's a special planet in its own, too. The World just makes me feel at home, even when I'm scared or anxious. Feels like a superhero flying in to rescue me

I've never run DnD yet, I played it a tiny bit once when I got the chance. The one DM who lets me play as a PC sometimes always kills my characters who have ten pages of stats and notes I can then throw away. I won't give further details out of paranoia.
I like characters with lots of funny things hidden in unexpected places, like only being able to cast magic with the eyes closed, and being an expert in oil paintings. I have seen a lot of different systems, some with higher grades of customization where you can pull a feature from the depths of the rulebook that not even the DM knows because it's useless unless played in a very specific situation, where it's then overpowered.
