Same thing goes on with hip hop these days with Yea Forums. They hate actual rap culture and wish to "enrich" it by claiming soundcloud rappers and Odd Future and MF DOOM are what is really "good" rap even though nobody fucking listens to that shit other than them. They'll use Eminem as a scapegoat, but Eminem despite not being relatable to most blacks got respect for them because of his respect for the artform and knowledge of it.
