Saw korn open for slipknot and some guy was sperging out because everyone was sitting. He started shouting "STAND THE FUCK UP SHOW SOME RESPEC!1!!" Everyone came for Slipknot.

They're all doing pretty damn well. Korn and Manson have become something of more niche cult fanbases but even still they're quite large, a Korn will open for a Slipknot now while a Manson will open for a Rob Zombie, Disturbed is in their own lane of "buttrock" where they're just a safe heavy radio band for people to like, but none of these bands are suffering or smalltime at all. Korn is still a headline act even if Slipknot has more crossover appeal to the next generation of fans who are now in their mid 20s as opposed to 30s.

The general public couldn’t name a single Slipknot song today. Duality and Before I Forget were their most popular songs and even that wasn’t crazy huge. I’d say their on the same successful rate as Korn. No where near as successful as Linkin Park, System of a Down, or Disturbed though all of which have had a pocket in the eyes of the general public. All of my buddies had Toxicity and only a couple had Iowa/whatever that other album is called.

Depends on where you live. If you live in the heart of the country, more people will know many Slipknot songs than on the coasts, because you know...we still have rock radio here and it hasn't all become pop/hip hop.
