Yo, I thinking of making guitar riff based youtube channel. Quality isn't very good but it's a start Check this out. youtube.com/watch?v=npODxjmrKxs

The percussion in this is lovely and that percussive synth that comes in around the one minute mark compliments the track quite nicely.
Nice new guitar. Did you make a new SoundCloud page?
Really enjoyed Crushed Tide. Wish you would implement more percussion in your tracks. Neat stuff.
The classics. Nice strummin' m8. Get a soundcloud or something.

Heard "Window" and I've enjoyed the idea of it. Though I feel that at times because of the mixing of the guitar, being in that volume, sometimes it's clean sound crashes next to the more ethernal synthesizer parts. This is apparent after the synths are done - the highs feel pretty empty empty with just guitar+voice. I would probably just add some sort of soft effect on it, maybe a tiny bit of reverb. But other than that - nice effort, will check your other tracks soon :)
>found out that I'm on rym yesterday. does that mean I'm famous now? I wish that was the case when I've made my own page there for a previous project. As you've might guessed - this hadn't helped much :D
To me this feels average at best and, without being too of an edge lord, not experimental at all. I don't know where this notion comes from - adding misleading labels to something that it clearly isn't. But that's beside the point. To me this tape doesn't work as a cohesive experience. Each track feels basic, the beats do as well but because of the thematic representation they should feel like they are part of something bigger but if you cut these tracks out and post them indiviidually it wouldn't make the difference desu. If you are interested in making some experimentation going start by playing around creating a variety of beat pattern and focus less on the atmospheres and such. This is my straight-from-the-heart opinion and I do hope I won't be misunderstood :) I wish you all the best on your future endevours!
Don't know much about beat music in general but that doesn't matter since I feel like you have a relatively unique sound (at least for a non-fan of beats) that I could listen to you on and off occasions. I feel though that these tracks are a bit less experimental than I would personally like but it's just a minor nitpick so don't bother with it :D Keep up the good work!
This is not my kind of thing but its well produced. The drums sound clean and all the noises get their own space! Nice! "She doesn't care" is really cool. Also nice guitar This is fucking awesome!

To be completely honest with you user - I thought I was getting myself into something more... Full? I don't feel it sadly. There are a few ideas you explored but not many of them feel cohesive and/or have a general point in it. For the first few minutes this combination of fade ins and fade outs are a little bit obvious and get boring quite quickly. I feel like there could be more modulations and activities done on this track, with these samples. I don't think you even surfuced to the potential such manipulation can achieve. So, to me at least, it feels kind of empty, boring, repetative, and it comes stale fast. Not to be all that horrible but I just feel it that way. It would do you loads if you get out of Audacity as it is extremely basic and turn your attention towards some DAW. It would do you wonders, trust me, and the manipulations on it are more easily manageable. Plus, it can give you a lot more opportunities when it comes to how many samples you can use at the same time. As of now, I'm not feeling it, sorry :(

I wanna make music for video games. I made this for a residency im applying to. I hope you like it.
Definitely my jam, especially with the inclusion of these voice recordings and such (though I would do that completely different lol). But yeah, glad to see a fellow field recordings user, even if the addition is mostly to add color behind the guitar. But yeah, still digging it :)
>orchestral, progressive metal (b i g riffs), electronic, instrumental, cinematic
hey guys here's a new song I'm working on, imma be lurking here and browsing on soundcloud where I will be leaving my likes and comments, I appreciate your feedback n support
>m.soundcloud.com/imbred I really like the general sound you have here, could use a little work on vox and lyrics but pretty cool stuff >soundcloud.com/badboydoom/proofofconceptt this reminds me of boards of Canada but in a more relaxed way but still keeps you on edge a little bit, pretty cool. >reverendomalley.bandcamp.com/album/unnecessary-oral-surgery If this had a master on it I feel like it would sound awesome, it struggles to compete with other stuff because it's quieter. I like the sound you're going for here though.
>soundcloud.com/digital_fish/to-be-punished chunkchunkchunkchunkchunkchunkchunkchunkchunk scree scree chunk chunkchunk chunk chunkchunk what i like in progressive metal, big fan, if i was making this i would transition better from this djenty part to this synth part, probably with like a measure of rest then a crash or sum into the synth part. Otherwise i showed this to my friend who is into progressive metal and shit so yeah
yeah this really clean and shit flowed, for your next track you should try some more experimental blowed out beat with something hard like distorted horns or something
Not really noise rock, My advice to you is that you should focus on experimenting with new sounds for weeks on end before recording anything. Get the generic rock part of the song written and memorized, and then spend weeks playing it over and over using all sorts of different noises until it's all fit together well with interesting noise instead of babys-1st-noise-saw.
Don't drypost bros.
>Bones Cringe. >Splice Yeah ask me for help bro.
Longposting doesn't make you famous if your music isn't up to par.
I can hear my suggestions to you in this, I'm glad you took my advice bro. Keep it up.
Interesting stuff, needs harder bass tho.
Seems like you haven't taken my advice yet.... Bro why?
this is a pretty good demo, keep at it, I think you'll be good one day. ___________________________________________________________ Aight! I'm here! I'd give propper advice but I know you're too dense and uneducated in music to understand the stuff I'd tell you. Do you know what a Major7th 5th Denomination is?
Jaxson Myers
recs: sounds very Canadian, I like the slight effects tho complementing everything tho, maybe just eeds more passion, but otherwise a nice peaceful sound cool, lofi, rocknroll, digging it always interesting and super fun to listen to soundcloud.com/steakfry/new-clock
check it, listen to the rest of the tape if ya dig it! >lofi rock >psychedelic rock
sounds like shit, this lacks a lot of creativity, just seems to wanna be loud I guess? Also where are the drops? The cinematics? I mean it sounds lazily done, also your a douche and don't longpost if your music is not up to par, you are the king autist of /mu
I can assure you I'm not too dense, but you're right about me being too uneducated, but that is sort of why I'm trying to know how to improve uknow.
Ethan Davis
denomination
here so if you take a major triad, then you add a major 7th of the chord to it, if you diminish the 5th of it its gonna sound fucking ugly as hell, because the only thing connecting the 7th to the root anymore is the root. I bet you use locrian modes in your 4d ghosts remix bro
i started making beats 2 months ago. am i on the right track? What do i need to do to improve
Luke Cook
sonically this is sounding great, some beautiful elements here, perhaps it would be good to improve the composition and song writing next as some transitions feel slightly awkward and unintentional, nice start tho, youre definitely on the right track friend
Hey I just made a new song. I worked very very hard on this song and i'm somewhat proud of it. I Hope someone in this thread will like it to. Remember to give HONEST criticism :DD (on my soundcloud would be nice, this way i can reply faster) This way i'll know what i will have to chance next time.
~Silent ratchet. (also my ig hehe)
p.s i also worked hard on this album cover hehe + Sorry for my bad English
what's the point of this group if nobody is allowed to write anywhere on it?
Jose Morales
It's a containment channel you gotta react to get the role you want
Matthew Jones
holy shit i see why people talk shit on you. i don't come to Yea Forums often because it's a fucking cesspool and you sure seem to be a testament to that.
Liam Campbell
The band I'm working with and the upcoming release is a bit closer to green day, blink 182, or queens of the stone age. They're a bit higher energy and happier sounding. It's an interesting juxtaposition with my darker more morose and legato vocal style. I can't wait to share it!
