I don't like that OP image can you please delete it

why do EMGs get so much hate with people saying "durr they don't let the tonewood through"? they sound good, and with passives you don't hear much of the tonewood either because it barely makes any sound

all it is, is a low output humbucker with a preamp. are people cramming them against the strings so the preamp clips and neglecting the 18v+ mods?

big chungs or bust

it's thinner to save money, so it wears off faster.

MIM fender is a fucking joke. they're disposable instruments of squire quality, but you pay more so it doesn't say squire on the headstock.

'murikan fender, partscaster, or fuck off and get an ibanez or something.

I'm in the market for a new amp and am totally swamped by my options. Help me /gg/
Things I am considering
>Marshall DSL40
i hear it's trash unless playing really loud which I will not be doing much
>Vox AV30
Seems to have everything I want, just doesn't do any of them as well as the amps it's modeled after, I hear the high(er) gain channels are mediocre at best
>Orange Micro Dark
fantastic, I love the sounds it spits out, only problem is it doesn't seem very versatile, only 1 channel
>Orange Dark Terror
same pros/cons as micro dark, variable power output seems like a major plus for indoor use, I would prefer this to the micro dark, seems more convenient and also I like the tone more, but is it worth the extra $350??

Some people have suggested to me
>Hot Rod Deluxe
>Fender Bassbreaker
>Vox AC30
none of which seem to be my cup of tea (though I gotta say they're pretty)
I have zero experience with amps in head form, only dealt with combos
I play primarily Alice in Chains (both the extremely dirty and clean stuff) and Ozzy (w/ Randy Rhoads)
help me /gg/ I set aside the money to buy an amp like 3 months ago and I'm losing my mind in the uncertainty

Attached: wot.gif (719x713, 82K)

just use amp sims

amps are dated tech for audio nerds

Hey black people, I need a recommendation for a first electric. Hit me up, my budget is 250$

And don't give me that crap "just add 6999$ for a better one"

Is it true that if anyone buys an Ibanez guitar it will turn them gay?

If you're willing to bump up to $350 you can get a Yamaha RS320

>finally start using 11s in standard tuning
>get hired on for a band 2 weeks later
>they play in dropped C#
>floppy strings
REEEE
11-52 is pretty nice though.

I would like a spare for my main guitar. What would be the best way to get one?
Must have:
>6 strings, regular scale length
>hardtail
>24 frets
>HH, passive, 4 leads so I can mod them for parallel / series switching; currently use DiMarzio Air Zone and Air Norton
>strat body shape
>no knobs in the way of my pinky when palm muting / playing high strings
>medium neck, small fretboard radius (so no flat Ibanez shit)
Currently have a MIJ DXMG with different PUs and blocked-off tremolo. All in all it cost about 700 € (500 for the guitar, 200 for pickups). I was considering buying a JS-22 and swapping all the hardware and pickups but I'm skeptical about build quality on MIC instruments.

Is there something a semi-hollow body electric guitar can't do, or would I be safe in buying one?

I currently own an Epi LP, but been thinking about buying a semi-hollow since I hear they have a pretty warm and rich sound. But are there any particular pros/cons to playing one?

First examples that come to mind are the 335s by Epi/Gibson or an ESP/LTD

People are smallbrain sheep. Tonewood matters in acoustic only.

Are you playing a mustang or some short scale? There's not nusch differemce between e standard and dropped c#.

Der refers to General. The title is missing a hyphen and bassgeneral should be one word (Der Gitarren- und Bassgeneral). General is also a clumsy translation. I think Sammelfaden is the german equivalent in forums.

I'm reading books after books and yet I can't come up with more than a single isolated line when I try to come up with lyrics

It's a half step, which already makes a noticeable difference in string tension. And 3 half steps on the 6th string, which is floppy as all fuck.

Sing whatever syllables sound right and just let the words come. Songs dont need reason or rhyme. Lyrics mostly dont matter, the song does. Just pick the best words for how they sound, not what they mean.. if it means something to you then, fucken bonus.

What do?

Okay, that's a brand, but it doesn't really answer my question.

Lock him in a room with his bass and a metronome on a PA.

Your question was too stupid to answer. That being said, if you do choose to buy a semihollow, look at Reverend.

I can afford a Gibson, but I don't have access to a guitar shop anywhere remotely near me. Should I just go with Epiphone if I can't try a Gibson in my own hands? The quality control is really concerning to me, I don't want to spend all that money on an instrument and then have it be worse than the version which is 1/3 of the price.
Anyone know if the SG G400 or G400 PROs are better? I don't really care for the coil split since I have a strat, but I hear the 400 PRO pick ups are quite good?

Thanks guys

Stop comparing yourself to him for one

He's a shit bassists then, tell him to practise

this but the pickups

i'm never happy with the pickups, probably because they get hyped up online with recordings of mic'd amps and then when you get them home they sound completely different unless you put your ear against the cab

EMGs were the least disappointing because people shit on them online but they're actually good. still shit though.

What pedals pair nicely with a Hofner Violin bass? Looking to build a decent pedalboard. My rig so far is my Boss tuner into the Agular Tone Hammer and finally into my Fender Rumber 100 amp combo.

If you like the Orange but are worried about only having one channel, couldn't you use a pedal as your second channel?

I have the Epiphone G-400 I got on sale used for what it was worth it was a decent purchase. Long story, I missed out on Iommi Signature SG which is a bitching guitar if you could find one. You can't go wrong with any of the Epiphone SGs they're all great. Never played a Pro but the Custom is so so sweet. Their faded version is another option for you. My regular 400 I had to replace a lot on it for one, I changed the bridge and got me some 59 Model Duncan pickups. I'm probably going to replace the neck one day.

If money is no issue you should look into getting the Gibson. Even as they go bankrupt I like the options on their higher end stuff. For example, I love Buck Dharma's tone so I would get the SG Standard Tribute. The most important thing is you trying it first. The feel of the guitar is important.

Attached: igqkealo0lxwkl0a0mcm.jpg (1600x1600, 283K)

If an amp has an effects loop, you can play into the teturn as a clean channel. I don't think anyone sells a footswitch for doing that, but it's easy to make.

You might need a booster or a volume control built into the footswitch depending on the amp though. Or just use your guitar's volume.

The new dsl is bettsr

Dean custom 450

This is sad

This is funny because you're lying.

Come on man

Modelers and modeling software will give you dozens of amps for the price of one and nobody will be able to tell the difference until they see you don't have an actual amp

Only after they see it does it sound "sterile", "soulless", "lifeless", and "plastic". So what you want to do is get a gutted shell for some old vintage fender shit, keep the speaks, and stuff all your gear where the tubes used to be.
>yeah bro, i have, uh, tubes, yeah, tubes, uh, salvaged from old radio stations
>it's how i get the vintage tone
>its not stock at all, this amp is heavily modified, i really made my own sound here
>i don't know what kind of tubes they are, but i salvaged them myself, i'm that indie
>no you can't see them
This works for everything including EMG pickup covers. Get ones with the faux pole pieces that look like pickups. The EMG branding isn't visible from a distance and people will think you have seymour duncans and now they're exceptionally clear instead of sterile. Also don't forget to tell them your guitar has some funky tonewood hidden under the paint (which is nitro, even if it isn't) and chuckle to yourself as they all agree on how great your tone is.

This is a good idea for people that get made fun of a lot

Have an old bass, when i plug it in it can play but if the cable moves too much it starts popping and then the sound can stop.
Whats the matter? Does it need to be resoldered or something hard

It's probably just the jack. It's an easy solder fix to reattach the terminal.

Okay brehs I started my guitar learning journey today tell me that one thing you wished to know day one.

I would actually do this if I played live

To never come to /gg/ for advice

What are you using it for? Chances are a 30w tube amp will be too loud like 90% of the time unless you're playing outdoors or in a big packed-out venue, and no one wants to be 'that' guitarist who always drowns the rest of the band out.

Regardless, I know they get a fair amount of shit these days but Vox are still my favourite. A friend once described them as fender amps that smoke a pack of cigarettes a day and he's totally right (though whether or not that tone appeals to you is another matter).

blue pill me on aluminum necks

Attached: D9DD255F-DE30-4CA6-8961-F47A9F2E2EEB.jpg (1865x620, 519K)

Don't

Why?

The neck is a usually a lot thicker, but that shouldn't take long to get adjusted to. I personally think they're the best guitars, you won't find that particular warmth and rich sustain with any other type of guitar.

Because it's stupid

Because aluminum is known for it's warm richness.

Always practice with a metronome.

Learn how to pick single notes properly using even up and down strokes. Find a video on youtube showing you how to hold the pick properly and how to execute the technique properly. This is JUST AS IMPORTANT as learning and memorizing chords.

Don't avoid using your pinky, it's hard at first but it'll pay dividends in spades later on.

Always practice with a metronome

It's easier to hold down a note near the fret than in the middle between. I spent years thinking proper intonation required my finger to be in the middle of the fret. This is wrong.

Always practice with a metronome.

bought a cheap chinese Schecter 7 string and it has horrible feedback at high volumes. Thinking i should just return it and bite the bullet on ebay for an older used Ibanez Universe (trying ~$700). I just want good playability and no shitty electronics, should I look at other 7 strings?

anyone have any experience with the keeley caverns v2 delay reverb pedal? worth considering?

Best bass you could buy @ $1,000?

I have one, thinking about selling it lol. They're cool and have some strange modulation effects. If you like what they show in vids they're nice, also cheaper than buying delay + reverb separately. I'm looking for more reverb diversity tho.

Please elaborate. I just ordered mine

>Don't avoid using your pinky, it's hard at first but it'll pay dividends in spades later on.
i avoided the pinky for years because my 70s heros did it but i started using the pinky about a year ago and the only improvement i notice is the ability to wank diatonic scales better with the expense of losing ring finger dexterity.

This

>It's easier to hold down a note near the fret than in the middle between. I spent years thinking proper intonation required my finger to be in the middle of the fret. This is wrong.
lmao you hear that everywhere, why are you taking this so seriously, did you like ignore all tips for years?

New guitar day broskis and I'm so happy. I'm literally in heaven after playing this. Hands down the best guitar I've played, feels way nicer than my Gibson™.

Weighs nothing and the fanned frets took like 5 mins to adjust to and now it feels really good and natural with it. I barely even notice the neck shape either so I guess it's working out really nice for me.

Attached: New guitar.jpg (768x960, 215K)

always fret with the finger tip at 90º from the neck instead of angled

technique and timing is important, theory is important, ear training is important. learn the basics, do your homework.

Have I fucked up my acoustic guitar by leaving it with no strings for almost two years?

It's going to need a serious setup, yes.

Bass gear doesn't matter get a squier shitbox and call it a day.

Was thinking about getting one of these or a Kiesel 8str multiscale. Is it based?

I was self-taught in the 90s before Internet. A friend showed me a couple of chords and that was the extent of my instruction.

I don't get it

Nice. Let's see the blemish

Just play the gay guitars in the picture.

Or stop being a pussy and play an HH strat

well i hear the finger right over the fret everywhere offline. well at least at places of a more decent level of musicians.

Extremely based my dude. If you're considering this or a Kiesel you should keep in mind they're wildly different guitars with the only really common thing between them being that they're Headless.

Here, I got 15% off for this. I probably wouldn't even have noticed it if it wasn't pointed out by them.

Attached: IMG_2430.jpg (4032x3024, 1.48M)

how did you go playin guitar by yourself from just these two chords?

OK but I want to see it on your guitar with a timestamp.

I got a chord book and learned the rest. Read guitar mags and learned tab and shit. I'm fine with rhythm stuff but my bad habits make lead hard. I have zero speed.

what kind of bad habits, make me chuckle pls

Barely noticeable as I said

Attached: gg.jpg (1512x2016, 1.11M)

Good shit. Glad you're happy with it.

Fuck I don't want to buy the gfs gold covered brown sounds but I think that may have to be it. Can anyone else give me a recommendation for high output gold covered cheapo pups?

My hand is angled improperly, my thumb runs along the length of the neck instead of anchoring squarely, sometimes I use my thumb for cheap barre chords, I have no pinky strength and can't do four-notes-per-string at ALL, and I can't alternate-pick very well. In fact my picking sucks in general because I tend to lay my hand on the bridge.
I'm a terrible guitarist, I'm good for campfire bullshit and thats about it.
Sometimes I feel like I don't play a guitar so much as play with a guitar.

none of that shit causes "zero speed" unless you're talking real wank
you're a lazy dad with excuses

I'm a bit vary of instruments with a $2k pricetag made in Indonesia to be honest.

Yeah, I mean there's nothing wrong with it (I think I got it in 2011/2012 before the QC really went downhill) but it doesn't feel as good as this.

Yeah sex is better than a Gibson but it ain't better than a Strandberg.

Looking for a first bass amp to go with mim bass. Everywhere seems to say fender rumble. I’ll obviously be a bad player for ages and only practice alone mainly with headphones until I’m decent enough to ever consider the possibility of playing with others.

Which rumble should I be buying right now?

The 25 is new and seems really cool with all of the models but would this actually be worse for me rather than just buying a bigger one? Should I even consider buying a 40/100 right now?

Not gonna lie the latter sounds more fun

Well, I got the drugs and the midget tranny hookers out of my system decades ago, I can afford a Gibson and have enough cash money laying about just in case to buy two more of them thanks to it.

Why reply when you obviously know nothing about bass

50% of the people in these threads don't play an instrument at all, they only come in to shit on the threads.
But the average amateur bass player would do just as well with a squier, because they're not ending up in the final mix anyway.

If money is no object, get the Mesa Boogie 25.

There is an insane amount of versatility in shaping tones across its 2 channels. Mesa is renowned for gainier styles of guitar music (as it should - it's fantastic for it) but the clean channel is just as capable. I mostly play a lot of fuzz/noise oriented stuff through it and it's top-notch. Awesome if you skip between playing different styles and want the freedom to experiment while having the ability to jam or play small gigs with it. Wonderful tones at low volume too - especially for a tube amp.

I remember making this :) simpler times

/r/ a good ampsim for bass pls.

I'm using a VST of Sansamp BOD but, while it sounds good, it doesn't have that "mic'ed cab" sound

Buzzo for sure. I don't know how he remembers all his nonsensical lyrics. Molly Hatchet always gave me this impression, but their album art is on point.

I don't recommend gold hardware.

Hey guys. Just hit my work anniversary recently so I'll be getting a pay-raise and possibly a bonus to boot.

I want to put it towards a good Jazzmaster for shoegaze/ambient/noise-rock sounds - but is it more worth my while to wait for a reasonably priced ($1400-1500) AVRI 65 to get listed online and then upgrade the stock bridge and pickups, or should invest in getting a 60s American Original instead?

Or, alternatively, buy a Classic Player Model and shell out the cash to mod it until the pricepoint matches that of an AVRI model?

As much as I'd like to buy one of these I keep reading of so many problems. Like what the fuck is this? I've never heard an amp make this type of noise

You got a link, friend?

Fucking tourist

Sounds like one of his tubes needs replacement. That's pretty standard tube amp maintenance and easy to fix.

Nice guitar but that Deven Townsend throw pillow is pretty sus.

Well basically long story short is Fender overhauled all the MIJ models in 2015 and the new ones coming out over the past while are great. You can find a 'Traditional' or 'Hybrid' model. I like the hybrid models cause it has the big vintage neck shape but it also has bigger frets and I believe locking tuners iirc.

reverb.com/item/22082613-fender-japan-hybrid-60s-jazzmaster-sn-2186-3-45kg-2019-charcoal-frost-metallic

This is just one of the newest ones, if you go on the Fender Japan website you can see more. But basically just search for 60s Traditional or 60s Hybrid. The specs are on the Fender site. I played my friends and it feels infinitely nicer to play than any of the newer American ones that I tried, the only downside is they come in a really shitty gig bag but the quality of the guitar itself is top notch.

Get a squier standard stratocaster. You could probably find one used for 170-180 shipped. If you want you can spend an extra 50 bucks and get a yamaha pacifica 112v or a squier vintage modified stratocaster.

The vintage modified has better pickups than the standard and the yamaha pacifica is really well made.

Something's up with the built-in reverb methinks (I don't use mine, but a reverberation machine instead). Regardless, Mesa is quite reliable when working with their warranty so they'd probably service or replace it if it happened within 5 years of getting it.

Not an expert on the Mark V 90W models though. I use the 25W which came out years after and I've been hard-pressed to find issues with it. Been thinking of trying out a Triple-Crown model sometime in the future though since those seem to be getting a ton of praise since being released a couple years back.

That really got to you huh Sam?

Fuck, that thing looks sleek. I'd still probably swap the bridge but are the stock pickups worth keeping around for a bit upon arrival (i.e. do they come close to matching the brightness of vintage JM pickups)?

Thanks for the tip-off. Never even considered this.

Yeah, I've heard a lot less problems with the smaller Mark V amps so far. Its always been the full size one that seems to be a pain in the ass, I think just cause it has so much shit going on in it. The TC amps look cool, basically hot rodded Marshalls with a more Boogie voice. Almost the best of both worlds it seems. I've had enough money saved for the longest time but I can never decide or justify buying a higher end amp yet but maybe in the next couple years.

That's because you're a retard. But you're welcome nonetheless.

The stock pickups are more vintaged voice, they're actually an American made pickup I believe. But yeah they're really good, they have the same rounded fingerboards edges as the American Pro and the same smooth satin finish on the neck. The Traditional has a gloss finish instead and the smaller fretwire.

Is D O O M metal just random power chords? If so then I think I got it down.

If I do decide to invest in a TC-100 in the future (which I could potentially use for practice too since it has built-in attenuation down to 3W), I imagine I'd trade in my current 25W model, but it's running superb for me and I have plenty of other gear I want to own before then anyhow, so I'm quite satisfied. Honestly, just see if you can find a place that has a new or used on in stock nearby (or order it online and try it for a few days before sending it back if you hate it) and see how your ears take to it.

I wouldn't be staved off by a few user videos though. It's Mesa, so 95% of the time you get what you pay for. Good luck my dude.

rate my tele.

Running it through a vox ac15 c1x.

I've got a guitar that is absolutely annihilating my fingers. I've been playing for about 7+/- months 2-4 hours a day, and have learned a few songs but every now and then I find myself muting a string. What should I do?
It's an epiphone acoustic I got for my birthday with some light elixr strings. tried to tune the bolt too just got fret buzzing

You need to be a bit more specific

>ashtray on

also
>he fell for the Strymon meme

>I've got a guitar that is absolutely annihilating my fingers

No, its not the guitar, its you. Stop pressing so hard, its not necessary.

This is the blandest picture I've seen on /gg/
Unimpressed/10

What info in particular

Action is too high.

You guys suck and are boring

LOL

Even if the action is high, doesn't mean you gotta press down hard to the point it fucks your fingers up

His action might be high as fuck.

So what? It doesn't mean you need to latch on to the guitar and destroy your fingers

I know jcum is a loser but imagine how much of a loser his wife is for marrying him lmfao

Lmao

You are right but acoustic guitar strings are generally heavier though.

If his action is way too high, then yes it's the guitar

Are the strings too high off the fretboard? Slip a quarter under the strings at the 12th fret. There should be just a little space in between on acoustics. Test all the strings. If the neck is straight and the strings are still too high, the bridge will have to be filed down.

You must not know how to play barre chords yet. Don't worry little man, you'll get there some day. :^)

Barre chords on an acoustic with high action will exhaust your fingers very quick.

>If his action is way too high, then yes it's the guitar

Or shit technique

>Barre chords on an acoustic with high action will exhaust your fingers very quick.

Or just learn to play

Yes, it's more of a rhythm genre. Emphasis on flat 5s, harmonic minor, or diminished scales. Get a good drummer to carry your ass through whenever your riffs get stale.

Slipped a quarter in between. Each string still plays. I've tried lowering the action but it buzzes pretty heavily

Why did you even reply retard?
You have to press harder the higher the action is.

Just realized this was Sam. Lmfao you're still a virgin dude. And no one will ever love you. How's your dad? Are you gonna bury or burn him? Can you even afford a funeral? Or are you gonna save money and eat him.

Holy shit he’s breaking down boys lmao

Don't flatter yourself. I'm at work bored. How was high school today bud? Another day of bullying?

These haters are engrossed with the soul-post. The most they afford is squiers and their tones are toast.

First I’m sam and now I’m in high school? How many shadows are you going to swing at today? You didn’t even defend your wife when I called her stupid lol

That action is pretty high, so buzzing shouldn't be an issue.

That leads me to say the frets probably need to be leveled and polished. If some frets are too high, then the fret behind them will buzz. Unfortunately It's not cheap to have done and whoever does it will put new strings on it, driving the cost up further.

As for the action issue: If the neck is straight already, then the saddle needs to be lower, and possibly the nut too. On acoustics, the only way to lower the saddle is to file it down.

Overall, you should take your guitar to a luthier to have it "set up". If you don't think the guitar is worth putting money into, you could try to do it yourself. It's risky and time consuming if you aren't experienced though.

It's funny how they claim to hate me but try to get my attention at every turn and corner. Just consider it free bumps for the thread.

But what are you implying? That they like you?

It's a sign you need to get a job. If you own a Mia fender then it is acceptable to ironically own or play squiers. I'm doing a mod project on a squier bullet special and I'm going to buy a squier bass vi soon.

No I just don't really care is all. This is a thread on the worst board on foreskin channel. Reevaluate your life dude. And go outside and just be yourself.

The guitar is a 139$ epiphone dr-100.
I'm not too experienced with wood/metal work.
Fortunately I have saved quite a bit through work so do you think I should should invest in a new guitar or send this one in?

You write like a retard so I took an educated guess. What would be funnier if it was a butthurt Sam pretending not to be Sam like he always does kek.

Exactly as designed.

Is it sane to just buy a 25W rumble bass amp starting out?

I’m only gonna be practising alone. I’m tempted to buy 100W for later on down the line but maybe it’s better to just keep to a 25W amp for myself now and maybe if I practiced fairly quietly with someone and then actually drop some money into a huge amp when I get good?

Ampeg SVT was my first and only amp. Why tf are you taking baby steps bruh?

Get the rumble 40, babe

bruh stop memeing me pls
I won’t even be able to use the potential of a 25+ amp for years so I can just buy another when I need it? if I actually git good I can just buy a 500w or something and I can try different amps and figure out what I like

(semi related rant but the worst shit to me is when people say just try it out but as a beginner that doesn’t work bc I have no idea what sounds good or plays well)

Like said, I would look for a Yamaha if you want something affordable. The FGX800C is supposed to be a really nice guitar for the price, $300.

You would probably be happier doing that instead of getting a setup. You can always keep your Epiphone as a backup, for travel and such.

This thread is unironically cancer right now.

You're ironically not on reddit atm.

Wrong that's the offset fags. We have quack

Attached: maxresdefault (3).jpg (1280x720, 89K)

Get a Katana. You get so many options when it comes to amps and effects. You can fine tune and figure out what you want/need to get your sound without having to sink thousands into gear.

Since when has it not been. Fuck off and contribute or fuck off and shut the fuck up and quit bitching and moaning like your mom

Rumble 25LT is a modelling amp I think and is only around £130 or something so similar thing so it’s probably fine for what I’ll use it for.

Just means that when I get good and buy a big amp I’ll have to buy a ton of pedals won’t I? maybe use a laptop idk

why did you choose the maple fingerboard over rosewood?

Glad to see the fan club is alive and well.

I didn't have a maple fretboard only Rosewood and ebony. And I found it to be more aesthetic with the color scheme.

Depends on what set you get

And you're saying they can't do blues or jazz? Emg 85 is great for blues lead playing. David Gilmour uses emgz. Youre the one trick pony. Not the pickups.

Bela Fleck uses 81/85 in his electric banjos.

That's very interesting. Emg haters btfo

Does anyone know what the range of a guitar is? As in from C1 to C5? Also what E is the open low E string? E2? E3? I'm know what all the notes on the fretboard are I just don't know where they live in the range of music.

Lmfao do you really have nothing to do all day?

They kind of feel like a tradeoff in a way. They're not as slick as the brand I used before, which I don't like. But they're slightly flattened, which I kind of like. They're ok, but I'll probably go back to my old brand. I have not tried nyxls because I hate D'Addario with a passion.

Why do you hate daddario? Nyxls feel different from their regular strings. I was a fan of their regular strings but ever since using nyxls I really can't see myself using anything else. They really can bend much more

Since we're talking strings:

Bass bros, get some fucking tapewounds now. I just put labella black tapes on my jazz and i cant stop cumming.

Higher frequencies come out more with strings suspended between stiffer, denser materials. Soft shit dampens the vibration much faster and more effectively. You can try this yourself.

The contrast in density and hardness between all maple and all mahogany guitars making maple sound bright/twabgy is one of the few easily heard tonewood differences. Probably the only one, period. Metal turns that up to 11, but maple is already at 10.

and then there are people who think fretboard material affects tone lmao

Tone aside it'll be a very stable neck that will last a fucking lifetime, granted its made right from the start

I'm thinking bout doing this for the bass vi imma cop. Since you seem to know about bass what the heaviest gauge I should use for a bass vi?

I'M GONNA..... TRY IT OUT

Attached: 15573770596892590648677773106222.jpg (4160x3120, 3.2M)

Not sure to be honest. The bass vi looks like kind of a wacky thing.
I would just look at the nut grooves to see how much bigger i could go I guess.

Well I will most likely end up changing most of the hardware including the nut. So I will probably buy a bone blank and fab the slots myself. I just want it to sound as bassy as possible.
