Good. The Velvet Underground ruined music.

Banana album couldn't be any more boring

>Doom metal
>Shoegaze
Lmao

invent is the wrong word
>doom

>shoegaze

>Doom metal
I Want You
>Shoegaze
It’s All Too Much

>baroque pop (replace this with cello rock, baroque pop is wimpy shit and mu autists will bring up Wilson or some shit)
eleanor rigby
>jangle pop
definitely wouldn't exist the way it does now without them influencing needles and pins by the searchers
>power pop
ticket to ride, daytripper, we can work it out

By that time Black Sabbath existed already. And before Sabbath there was Blue Cheer, so they had nothing to do with doom. As for shoegaze, I dunno, probably

>Jangle Pop
Literally invented by the Byrds

How in the fuck is Blue Cheer doom? Even Ozzy said it himself

The Beatles influenced Needles and Pins
Which begat The Byrds
The Beatles were doing jangly shit well before The Byrds were even a band, get your facts straight and take your head out of the hivemind.

Way more doom than fucking Velvet Underground. Doom is characterized by slow tempo distorted power chord riffs, TVU had none of that. At most they covered drone and noise rock

Nah, I'm on about She's So Heavy senpai, which has all those elements you refer to there

Why the fuck does anyone at all care about Velvet Underground? Boring and pretentious Andy Warhol-esque trash.

>all these buzzword genres
Thanks for proving OP's point

sister ray and venus in furs are just too good though, they're more a guilty pleasure than anything else.

>Heavy Metal
How the fuck did you come to that conclusion

Helter Skelter

Uhm sweetie baroque pop is an invention of /ourqueen/ lana del rey

More importantly, the Beatles didnt make good music

Why is it so controversial that Helter Shelter is the first heavy metal songs on here? Wikipedia crawlers look citing Blue Cheer even though they're no different than the Jeff Beck Group or 60s Steppenwolf or any other number of Amboy Dukes outgrowths. It's not thumping heavy metal, it's fucking boring blues rock.

>velvet underground, robbie basho, sandy bull, the kinks and the byrds block your path

The Byrds didn't invent fuck all.
Shit I meant Vanilla Fudge not Dukes

I'm sick of Blue Cheer cucks, lads. Maybe if they cited Vanilla Fudge's Renaissance album they'd have some cred, but no, they just went on rym and the Wikipedia page and ransacked wholesale names that weren't The Who or The Beatles.

>All the retards in this thread thinking that genres can be invented
Genres are formed slowly and organically from other genres. This is true 100% of the time

Reminder that a caveman invented more genres than The Beatles and The Velvet Underground
