Does MBDTF and TPAB finally have competition?

Does MBDTF and TPAB finally have competition?

Rap AOTD has already been decided.

>Does MBDTF finally have competition?
And no, no it doesn't, and it's not even best hip hop album of the decade.
That Tyler album is gonna be ass.
That album, and Carti in general are shit.

Then what's the AOTD?

off top I already know this will be Tylers best work.

Toss up between Black Up and Electricity is on our Side

He should stop rapping, his real talent is in producing and composition. The problem with flower boy for me was the amount of tracks with really mediocre production and emphasis on tyler rapping. So if it's like that, it'll be pretty bad. If the bulk of it has the same care in terms of composition and taste as far as vocals as the stand out tracks on flower boy did, then it might be good

P4k 6.8-7.2

say what you want but this man is a legend. he’s deadass the new kanye

No, new Kanye is the new kanye.
Tyler isn't nearly as adventurous or innovative, and he only has one decent album that's actually really well recieved at this point in his career, while Ye had 6.

Ehhh Die Lit > Black Up for me. Similar styles too. Never heard the other one

bold of you to choose this and not Die Lit

In a decades time you will see I'm right.

Imagine thinking Kanye is a genius
>original Kanye
>hit or miss producer who when on is very on and when off sucks
>credited with chipmunk soul when RZA did it first
>tries to evolve with graduation
>cool if a little dated soun
>808s
>just has cudi help him write a sad album and hop on the autotune bandwagon
>hailed as a genius for some reason
>MBDTF
>apparently some masterpiece but has had no lasting influence on hip hop whatsoever with Flockavelli being measurably and definitively more influential on the decades sound
>really just overblown pop songs with some good shit here and there
>needed a massive team of people to even do it
>yeezus sees a repeat of 808s in that Kanye tries to hop on a trend and take credit for it
>dollar store death grips with kanyeisms thrown on top with the help of an army of writers
>most people realize it's shit but people to this day bought the hype around it for some reason
>everything since a sad attempt at fitting in with the current sound and "innovating", simultaneously failing at both
>losing relevancy every release
>no one cares anymore and the only thing that keeps people talking about Kanye is non music things like drama and his clothing line
>Pushas album came and went and the Nas album was garbage
Kanye is a musical talent, sure. But now he's just a sticker to slap on some huge team of people's work. Kanye the artist is long gone. He's a brand and a vehicle for the Kardashians shit.

cringe but still cartipilled

i agree with the MBDTF sentiment sm

everyone raves about it being crazy influential and all but like...what the fuck has it influenced? its literally pop that happened to be backed by an eccentric figure who knows how to get attention. like you mentioned flockavelli or even some shit like death grips went on to be seem in so many forms all throughout the decade

based

I disagree, but can see where you're coming from with a lot of this, but how the fuck is KSG hopping on a trend? No other hip hop album was doing that shit, and there isn't anything that's doing it now, or improved upon it either.

>No other hip hop album was doing that shit
doing what shit exactly?

ya know,

that shit

>Does MBDTF and TPAB finally have competition?
Let me guess...17 years old, white, juuls way too much, lives somewhere between DC and Boston

the pink cover is better

The snippets sound do good.

Maybe, we'll have to wait and watch

Black up 100%, Electricity is waaaaay too uneven in quality to be anywhere close to AOTD even though I love that record.

I nominate pic related as another AOTD contender

hopefully
so far no rap album is worth AOTY

Am I the only one who likes the first cover way more? Like wayyyy more?

so fucking based and flockavelli pilled

not even an album bro
